Story
Allie is a 1-2 year old small lab/bulldog mix who was picked up as a stray by animal control and not reclaimed.  After some needed veterinary care, she is now healthy and ready to be adopted!  Allie is a very sweet dog with an excellent temperament.  She never meets a stranger and is generally happy being where ever the humans are, she is eager to please all.  She is good with kids and other dogs, untested with cats.  She will be an excellent pet for someone.  She is spayed, up to date with shots, treated for heartworms/current on prevention and crate trained.  If you would like to make Allie your newest family member, please submit an adoption application at www.myhstc.org Adoption fee is $85 and includes all veterinary care We prescreen all applicants prior to a meeting.  If you would like to be screened, please submit an adoption application at www.myhstc.org We do allow out of state adoptions.  However, we do not ship nor transport sight unseen pets for many reasons.  We require travel in person adoption. ##1173016##

Story
This is Precious - a lab/shepherd blend around 2 years old.  She and 7 other dogs (including King who is also for adoption) were confiscated by animal control for cruelty and neglect.  All 8 dogs were living on chains with no access to water or shelter and were basically fed only sporadically.  We have "before pictures" of her -she was absolutely nothing but skin and bones when she came in -she was also full of worms and fleas.  After being treated for both and being fed multiple times a day a nice steady diet, she is now down to just one meal a day and is healthy and ready to be adopted!  Precious is very sweet -she can be a little timid at first but once she comes out of her shell,, she is very affectionate and gives kisses.  She is good with other dogs but will likely always need to be fed separately from other dogs.  After nearly starving to death, it is understandable that she would resource guard.  We also would not recommend a home with small children -she loves people of all ages however, when it comes to food, she will likely always have to be monitored.  It could be something she gets over in time but we do not know.  What we do know is that she deserves a home that will properly care for her and love her the way she will love you.  She is up to date with shots, spayed, negative for heartworms/on prevention, and crate trained.  If you would like to welcome Precious into your home, please submit an adoption application at www.myhstc.org Adoption fee is $85 and includes all veterinary care We prescreen all applicants prior to meeting.  To be screened, please submit an adoption application at www.myhstc.org We do allow out of state adoptions.  However, we do not ship nor transport sight unseen pets for many reasons.  We require travel in person adoption. ##1259185##

Maverick comes to us as a courtesy listing. His owner passed away, and the family is unable to keep him. They reached out to us for help. He's around 18 months old. Maverick minds well and gets along with other dogs. He doesn't mind sleeping in his crate even though he's used to snuggling with his daddy. He's spoiled rotten but absolutely precious. If you want a companion and something to love you unconditionally, Maverick is your guy.
