Story
Jolene is a 2-year-old Aussiedoodle with a gorgeous merle coat and an incredibly sweet, gentle personality.She is used to living indoors, is housetrained, and loves other dogs. She has such a soft temperament that we think she could likely do well with cats too, as long as introductions are done slowly and properly.Jolene did well with the children in her former home, but she can be very timid with new people and unfamiliar surroundings. Because of that, we do not feel she would be a good fit for rambunctious children or children under the age of 10. She would be happiest in a calm, patient household where she can settle in at her own pace.She can also be leery of men at first, but thankfully she does not take long to warm up. She simply needs space, patience, and the chance to feel safe before she lets her guard down. Once Jolene trusts you, she is incredibly affectionate and loving and truly enjoys being close to her people.Although Jolene is housetrained, adopters should expect that she may need a refresher course while adjusting to a new home and routine.Her coat will require regular professional grooming, so applicants should be prepared for the ongoing grooming needs that come with an Aussiedoodle. We ask that applicants include a groomer reference along with their veterinarian reference.Jolene is looking for a home that will give her a little patience in the beginning and a whole lot of love once she settles in. In return, you will get one very devoted, gentle girl who just needs to know she is safe.Her adoption fee is $200 and she comes spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped.
