Story
Rehoming Our Labradoodle This sweet boy is 6 years old and has been with us for the past 5 years. We adopted him from a high-intake shelter in California—literally the day before he was slated for euthanasia—and he has been nothing but loving and loyal ever since. He is a deeply affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with his people. Because of this, he does experience separation anxiety and thrives in a home where someone is around often, can provide structure, and can offer the reassurance he needs. Mason is also deaf. Our family has recently suffered a major loss, and as much as it breaks our hearts, we can no longer give him the time, consistency, and emotional presence he needs to flourish. He deserves a home where he can feel secure, loved, and supported—ideally with someone who understands anxious dogs and wants a devoted companion by their side. If you feel you can offer him the stable, caring home he deserves, we’d love to talk.

Story
Puppy Four (aka Brooklyn) is a 7 month old female Labradoodle puppy at about 33lbs who was surrendered to GRRAND from a woman who found her and her 6 other siblings one day in her barn.  Brooklyn is a true sweetie and a little shy and she will follow you and when you stop moving she sits elegantly and patiently awaits a treat. She has mostly gray fur, with some black highlights and some brown highlights. She is treat motivated and would love obedience training. She likes to be hugged. Brooklyn is in a foster home and we are told: "What a puppy!  Brooklyn has been with me and her GRRAND foster brother for a week and she fit right in quickly. She has a great personality - lots of cute puppy energy but loves snuggles and would be happy if you would pet her all day.  And even better, she is fully house trained and hasn’t had any accidents in the house.Brooklyn wants to be close and follows me wherever I go. I was pleasantly surprised when I put a dog bed by my desk and she laid on it quietly while I was working (considering she’s only 8 months old). She loves to chase and wrestle with other dogs and will spend all day chasing a tennis ball too.I crate her at night and she puts herself to bed when she’s tired. During the day, she’s contained in a play area if I leave but been steadily giving her the run of the house. I have LOTS of dog toys and she’s happy exploring different ones and has left my things alone.  My dog has taught her to shake toys and so far she hasn’t destroyed any.Brooklyn will make a great family dog but may be too much for small children (ex. She will puppy chew on your hand or arm). She would love another dog sibling to play with as well as older kids to chase and play ball with. She is learning to walk on a leash but can try to run and is skittish with unexpected noises. All this girl wants for Christmas is her furever family!" **** Puppies are a lot of work, and if you are interested in one of these puppies and have children, you should check out GRRAND policies page before you read further… In a nutshell, GRRAND policies stipulate a few important things that may stop you from applying  A: GRRAND will NOT place a puppy under the age of 6 months with families with children under 6 yrs old  B: Any applicant with children under the age of 16, will require a home with direct access to a securely fenced yard… so this means no apartments or condos Apartments and condos can also be tricky for adult only households, as puppies can be whiny and loud, and may make too much noise for the neighbors as well  They will be looking for homes with fenced in yards and families with LOTS of time and patience to socialize and work with a puppy so they can grow up to be good dogs! Exercise and direction are a must for these little ones as a tired puppy is a good puppy!! They have boundless amounts of playful energy and need a constant outlet for it! If you would like to meet Brooklyn, or any of her siblings to foster or adopt, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2518810##

Story
FOSTER HOME DESPERATELY NEEDED! Winston #7395 is roughly, a 1 year old, male VERY MALNOURISHED... LITERALLY SKIN AND BONES, (35lbs) Labradoodle mix (we are guessing) who was dumped on the side of the road with 2 other dogs. This guy... geeze.... he is needing a home where he can learn what being a well loved dog should be all about. We don't know much about him, but he was found malnourished, dehydrated, and fur soaked in feces and urine, so that is the reason for his sad haircut... he had to be shaved to the skin. Winston shivers in AC and outside in the chilly mornings, so he has been wearing a sweatshirt and belly band for right now.  We are told that he initially shys away at head pets, but does seek attention. He loves ear and body rubs and cuddles for sleep and is seemingly a Velcro dog as he follows his temp foster like a shadow. He lived with a cat and ignored it, gets along with other dogs and is very sweet and friendly. He is curious wandering the house and yard checking everything out. He is ravenous and enthusiastic but not food aggressive and takes food from hand with no nipsHe could be a counter surfer since he’s so hungry, but we are still learnin and jumps with excitement for food. He is always wanting to eat (poor baby has been starved for so long) and takes food with gusto but gentle. Because he was so starved he does take treats very enthusiastically. Because of that, we feel he shouldn't be in a home with small kids. He has had several medical issues that GRRAND has taken care of, and as you see in the progression of photos, his hair is growing, he is healthy,  back and he's putting weight on nicely. He loves playing with other dogs, but most remarkably, even though he was grossly mistreated, he loves people and wants to climb in your lap for hugs and cuddles!  He is smart and can sit. We are working on house training and making slow but steady progress - he's still a lot of puppy!  This sweet guy needs a lot of TLC while he gains weight and learns what it is like to live in a house, know what love is, a soft doggie bed and food for him on a regular basis. We are still learning about Winston, but would love for him to go to a foster home instead of the kennel to help him get healthy. He will need a home that has the time, patience and compassion to work with him, as assuming all things having to do with living in a house will be newish to him.  If you would like to bust him out of the kennel and bring him home to nurse him back to good health, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org     ##2516602##

Story
Winnie is a 2 year old, 60ish lb, female Labradoodle. This sweet girl is looking for a home where she is the only dog and no kids under 16 years of age. We are told by her people that "She just wants to lay on the couch with you, she learns fast and listens well. She loves toys, yak cheese chews, and running. She is very loving and sweet, and we want the best home for her." She is house-trained, leash-trained and crate-trained (sleeps in it at night and when family is not home) and she is said to have lived with a cat, but GRRAND has not cat tested her. Her people say "She's fine around my cats and mostly leaves them alone." Our GRRAND volunteer says "she is very sweet, a little timid, likes to run, likes to sniff, enjoys being petted. She looks to be athletic, not over or under weight, and has a beautifully groomed coat."  We are still learning about Winnie, so please check back for more info later, but if you are interested in meeting Winnie, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org     ##2514878##
