Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age) Housetrained: Getting there. Microchipped: Not yet Adoption Fee/Donation: $400 Important!! Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he’s older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy’s life. Do you have the time? Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter, heart worm test if applicable) microchip, worming and flea/tick/heart worm (if applicable) preventatives. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.

Calling all Lab lovers! Friendly, outgoing, intelligent, energetic, and loyal? HSOC is happy to deliver. Meet MJ, a Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 67 pounds and around 2 years old. This sweet girl welcomed a litter of puppies just about two months ago and now it is her turn to be somebody’s baby. MJ has not met a stranger here at HSOC. She has love to give for days. She can be a little jumpy when she first meets you, but once that initial excitement passes, she becomes the perfect lounging buddy. Whether she is curled up by your side or resting at your feet, MJ is happiest just being near her people. If you leave MJ alone in the play yard for even a moment, you will come back to find her soaking up the sunshine. Even if there is only a tiny sunny spot, she will find it. She glows even more when she is relaxed and content. This mama bear has a gentle heart. We believe MJ would do well in a home with children. After some socializing, we have determined MJ will need to go to a home that has either male dogs only, or no other dogs. A meet and greet is required for any canine siblings. Meet Reggie! 🐾 Reggie is a handsome black 58-pound Labradoodle mix, estimated to be between 18 months and 2 years old. This smart pup is fully house trained and already knows how to sit, stay, and walks nicely on a leash on the left side of the sidewalk. Reggie is rarely a barker and loves being with people. He’s always ready for a car ride, an empty lap and a good game of fetch. He would thrive in a home with a companion dog, especially since he doesn’t enjoy being crated when left alone. He has met many dogs and gets along with them very well. While Reggie enjoys going for walks, he really needs a yard where he can run and play to burn off his happy energy. And fair warning—unlike some doodles, Reggie has a very light shed, so he’s best suited for a home that doesn’t mind a little fur along with a lot of love. If you’re looking for a friendly, social, fun-loving dog who will happily be your shadow and your playmate, Reggie may be the perfect addition to your family.
