With his calm, gentle personality and soulful, mesmerizing eyes, Rodney has a way of making everyone he meets fall in love. After a little playtime, Rodney is perfectly happy to curl up for a nap or cuddle beside his favorite people. He enjoys a good game of tug-of-war, chewing on a bone, and simply being wherever his family is. He's especially fond of his foster human siblings (ages 10, 8, and 5) and happily follows them from room to room, always wanting to be part of the fun. Rodney is doing great with potty training and much prefers going outside. In fact, his favorite place in the world is stretched out in the grass, soaking up the fresh air. He's learning to come when called and naturally stays close, checking back in often instead of wandering far. This handsome boy is also respectful of the resident cat. While he's curious about her, he's gentle, gives her space, and doesn't get overly excited around her. Rodney's affectionate nature shines through in everything he does. Whether he's resting at your feet, leaning in for cuddles, or quietly keeping you company, he simply loves being close to his people. His easygoing temperament, gentle heart, and loving personality would make him a wonderful addition to just about any family. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who loves cuddles as much as adventures, Rodney is ready to steal your heart. About Me: I made the long trip from Alabama with my nine brothers and sisters. Life has been a little different since we all went our separate ways, but I’m settling in more every day. get along with every dog I meet! I love playing with my foster family's resident dog, although sometimes he forgets I’m still just a little puppy. When that happens, I have to remind him to take it easy! I love to play, but I also really love to relax. My foster family says I’m an old soul because I’m happiest just being included in whatever everyone else is doing. If you're outside, I want to be outside. If you're relaxing, I'll be right there with you. Speaking of outside... laying in the grass is my absolute favorite thing. Sometimes I’ll even sit by the door just hoping someone will let me out, even if I don't have to go potty. I just love feeling the grass beneath my paws and watching the world go by. I'm still getting used to my kennel. I spent my whole life sharing space with my siblings, so sleeping alone is a big adjustment. I'm learning that having my own cozy spot is okay, but if I had to choose, I'd much rather be hanging out with my people than by myself. I've started learning how to walk on a leash. It's a little strange if you ask me, but I'm figuring it out! I like to stay close, but I also have to stop and sniff everything along the way. I guess that's the hound in me! If you're looking for a gentle, loving puppy who wants to be your sidekick through everyday life and every adventure, I think we'd make the perfect team. I can't wait to find my forever family, snuggle up beside you, explore the world together, and love you with my whole heart. July 21, 2026, 5:24 pm
