Jackson, a sweet 7 month old lab mix, is the kind of puppy who walks into a room and immediately turns the energy up to 100! He’s goofy, playful, curious, affectionate, and FULL of energy.His start in life hasn’t been easy. He spent 12 weeks in a shelter and battled parvo. Because of that, he missed out on some important puppy experiences. But he has come so far, and now he’s learning just how much fun being a dog can be!Jackson is extremely food motivated, loves to learn, and has made great progress with leash walking and kennel training. He’s also a big fan of chewing, so his family will need to provide plenty of appropriate toys and enrichment.And this boy needs ACTION! Hiking, running, agility, flyball, obstacle courses, training games... Jackson would love a family that wants to keep both his body AND his brain busy.He can live with another playful, confident dog who can keep up with his energy, or he can be your one and only. Cats are unknown. Because he is energetic and mouthy, we recommend a home without young children.Jackson can jump, so a secure yard and a family who understands his athletic abilities are important. He has done well in his foster home's 6 foot fenced yard and has not attempted to escape.Jackson is not the puppy for someone looking for calm and easy.He’s the puppy for someone who reads that and says, “Perfect.
