Hi. I'm Oak. I have mastered the cutest tippy taps when I meet someone new. I have tons of energy that I would love to burn off. Do you have a yard? Wow! That would be amazing. I could run and show you my awesome doggo skills. Maybe we could even play ball. Oh the places we could go...together!

Story
This handsome 11-month-old chocolate Lab mix is all heart and all puppy. After being adopted, he was recently returned through no fault of his own because his family felt he was "too much work." The truth is, he's exactly what you'd expect from an adolescent Lab mix—active, playful, eager to learn, and full of love.He is an affectionate boy who wants to be part of everything you're doing. Whether he's following you from room to room, curling up beside you after a day of adventures, or making you laugh with his goofy antics, he's happiest when he's with his people. One of his greatest qualities is how well he gets along with other dogs. He loves having a canine playmate to romp around with but also understands when it's time to be gentle. He's respectful of older dogs and enjoys making new friends, making him a wonderful companion for the right canine sibling. He's crate trained and has a solid foundation of good manners. Like any young dog, he'll continue to benefit from consistency, structure, regular exercise, and positive reinforcement training as he finishes maturing. At 11 months old, he's entering a fun stage where his personality is shining through, but he still has some puppy energy to burn. His ideal home will:Embrace the fun and energy of an adolescent dog.Provide daily exercise, enrichment, and continued training.Include a playful canine companion or an active family willing to keep him engaged.Be committed to helping him grow into the incredible adult dog we know he'll become. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy, a snuggle partner, and a dog who will love you with his whole heart, this sweet chocolate boy is ready for his second chance. Before adoption, all Boxers & Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and fostered in loving homes where they are treated like family while practicing important socialization skills. We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
