CALLIOPE is a mini Labradoodle we recently rescued from a puppy mill and she's a sweet girl who is quite shy but making progress and has been very slowly learning the ropes of leash walking and housetraining (but she still does require a fenced in yard). She's estimated a young adult and is just 13 lbs. She's now fully vetted. Calliope really benefits from another confident dog in the home and we'd love that for her forever home, too. She does have some separation anxiety and IS a barker when left alone, so ideally she'd match up with an adopter who is home a lot - and no apartments for her because of her very vocal unhappiness being left behind. Still, she'll be a great addition to someone's home. 👉 Adoption fee INCLUDES: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip (if the dog is under 6 months, alter and chip will occur after they're 6 months, covered in full at our clinic or reimbursed partially at a vet of your choosing). If the dog is older than 6 months and not yet altered, we will schedule ASAP (normally within 30 days) at our clinic . We also provide as an incentive a $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes. We are not a shelter and are completely volunteer foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. 📌IMPORTANT NOTES: ** Housetraining with rescues is sometimes a work in progress and even if a dog is 100% in a foster's home, it should be expected there will be an adjustment period as a dog adapts to a new environment. This is even more true if the dog has not by chance had their altering appointment at time of adoption. ** Also, we highly recommend some form of 2-week shutdown and decompression for dogs going to a new home for best results. --> Lastly, breed guesses in rescue are just that (GUESSES!!) 99.9% of the time. We do not do DNA testing and our breed guesses are based on appearance and sometimes other traits, but we know the dog breed guessing game is a fool's errand even for those with LOTS of experience. 🗺 ADOPTION AREA: several hour radius of Rochester, NY (Canada within 3 hours IS allowed, except that young puppies need to be old enough to have gotten their rabies vaccination to cross the border - usually around 16 weeks)

Mia is a 2-year-old, 37-pound small Lab mix with a heart full of sweetness—and a little face that always looks like she’s smiling. She’s gentle, affectionate, and loves both people and other dogs. Mia has that classic LabBoxer warmth in a perfectly manageable size, making her a wonderful companion for almost any home. She’s friendly with everyone she meets and loves being part of whatever her people or doggy friends are doing. She does great in multi-dog homes! Mia’s cheerful expression and loving nature make her impossible not to adore. Mia lost her family when they relocated to the mainland U.S. from Puerto Rico to a place that would not allow dogs. She is "house-savvy" and does very well with potty training and she looks forward to cuddle time in the evenings! Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico. Marley is a 4.5-month-old Lab/Shep mix weighing about 16 pounds, with a story that starts rough and ends happy! He was found at just 8 weeks old by U.S. Marines while they were on duty in Puerto Rico—starving, but incredibly sweet despite everything he’d been through. They called us looking for help for him and he spent the next two months being spoiled with good food, care, and love! Marley has blossomed into a joyful, friendly, and outgoing puppy. He loves people, and playing with his friends and he greets the world with a wagging tail! He has the kind of resilient, sunny personality that makes him a joy to be around. Marley is ready for a safe, loving home where he can keep growing into the great dog he’s clearly meant to be. Marley will arrive in Albion, NY in mid January and we would love to have a family waiting for him! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like.
