Story
❤️ Drax ❤️ This handsome middle-aged doggy was another stray that was found on Podunk Rd near the Genesee County line at the beginning of January. He was never claimed and is now looking for a home of his own where he can share love with a new family. Drax loves back massages and toys...and more toys and of course treats!! Speaking of treats, he will sit and stare at you with his puppy-dog eyes and you just must then give him a treat!!! Drax is a little tentative with strangers when he first meets them, but warms up quickly with a little time. Drax is also positive for Lyme disease. He had a positive titer and he is on antibiotics for thirty days, but that does not deter him from playing, jumping, running or just being a loveable, energetic doggie. He will need follow-up blood work in the future, but that can be discussed with an adopter's vet. He is also being treated for a skin infection. If you may be interested in adding Drax to your family, here is a link to our application that you can print out, complete and email (ocadoptions@aol.com) or text (585-752-2588) back to us as a jpg. https://34700641-153071652496766543.preview.editmysite.com/uploads/3/4/7/0/34700641/int_app_new.pdf Send us a text or message if you have any questions.

Walter's Story Senior Spotlight! Let us introduce you to Walter! Walter was found at Byrne Dairy in Rochester after being dumped there. He had no identification and he was not claimed after being picked up by Animal Control. One of our volunteers was made aware of Walter and asked if we could help! Walter is now being fostered at our volunteer Haley’s home and she describes him as “the whole package”! We estimate his age at 7-8 years old. He’s a perfect older gentleman! Potty trained, crate trained(mostly), does well with other dogs! (We don’t have a cat to test him with) He is a wonderful snuggle bug! He does great riding in the car and he’s got that typical “bull in a china shop” exuberance that labs and lab mixes are famous for! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. All dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked. For more information on adopting please email madrescueofwny@aol.com and fill out our online application at https://form.jotform.us/70927213338153

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hazel is a 1–2 year-old Pitty mix who is finally getting her second chance at the good life. After spending a few months in a kennel, she’s now learning how wonderful it feels to have a warm home, soft beds, and people who love her.   This girl is pure joy wrapped in a wiggly, snuggly package: Dog-friendly — she loves every pup she meets! ‍ People-loving — her tail starts wagging the second she sees you. Toy fan & snuggle queen — she can play, zoom, and then happily nap curled up next to you. &#226&#154&#161&#239&#184&#143 Puppy energy, but settles beautifully — a great balance of fun and calm. Needs reassurance outside — she’s learning the big world is safe and gets braver every day. Working on personal space — she loves close snuggles and is learning boundaries gently and quickly. Quick learner — every day she shows how smart, eager, and loving she truly is.   Hazel has been through a lot, but her heart has stayed soft and hopeful. She’s ready for a family who will show her what forever love looks like — someone patient, kind, and excited to watch her blossom.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
Layla came from a kill shelter in Texas and was a temporary foster before adopted. She is a sweet, energetic, snuggly girl who loves attention, pets, and exercise. Layla loves all people and is happy to just be with you. Unfortunately due to 12+ hour work days and adult children no longer living at home to help, her quality of life is not what she deserves any more. She would be a great fit for anyone who has the time to spend with her and enjoys walks even a few times a week. If you think she would be a good fit for your family, please reach out!

Story
Good day, my name is Allie. I'm a crazy cool Yellow Labrador Retriever puppy! I have a decent amount of energy, crate and potty trained and very food motivated. Though I don't like sharing my food with others, please keep us separated at meal time! I have an ear for listening and would love to learn new things like tricks, commands, and what I can do to be the best doggy ever! No kitties for me, however, I couldn't learn to like kitties ;( But I love people, I am very sweet and I am very ready for adoption!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
