Story
Meet Buster, the distinguished gentleman you’ve been waiting for! 🐾 Buster is a senior Chocolate Mini Labradoodle born on March 28, 2015. He came to us on March 14th after his previous breeder ceased operations, and he has spent the last few weeks settling into the "retired life" with grace. At a portable 17.6 lbs, Buster is the perfect size for lap snuggles and easy strolls. He is now fully vetted, including a much-needed dental, so he’s feeling fresh and ready for his forever home! What to expect when adopting a senior Mini Labradoodle like Buster: The "Chill" Factor: While younger doodles can be high-energy, seniors like Buster usually prefer a cozy bed and a calm environment. He’s past the puppy chewing phase and appreciates the finer things in life—like naps. Low-Shedding Grooming: He still has that beautiful curly coat, which means he’ll need regular brushing and professional grooming every 6–8 weeks to keep him looking sharp. Health & Wellness: Senior small breeds often live well into their teens. Keeping up with his dental health and maintaining a healthy weight will be key to keeping him spry. A Soulful Bond: There is something incredibly special about the gratitude of a senior dog. Buster is looking for a soft place to land where he can be pampered for the rest of his golden years. Are you ready to give this sweet boy the retirement he deserves? Evo, is a four-year-old Labradoodle with an energetic temperament. We need to rehome him because he is starting to have trouble with our older dog. He is very loving and cuddly toward his people. Also very smart and a good listener, loves to play and snuggle. He just has some resource guarding issues and it is starting to become a problem with our older dog.

Story
Meet Rocket 💗🐾Rocket is a sweet older gentleman, born in September 2021, who is ready to find a calm and loving forever home. He weighs 14 pounds. Rocket does like other dogs, but he tends to prefer female dogs. He would also likely do well in a home with cats. Since he is a little more timid, Rocket would do best in a quieter home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and loved. This sweet boy would make an excellent lap dog. He is looking for someone who wants a gentle companion to snuggle with and spoil. ❤️ He recently had a dental cleaning and did have most of his teeth removed, but don’t let that fool you. Rocket still gets along just fine with the 8 teeth he has left! He may need softer food or smaller bites, but he is adjusting well and still has plenty of love to give.Rocket is a recent arrival from a high volume breeder in Amish country and probably aged out of the baby makin' business. Being rescued from a high volume breeder doesn't mean there is anything wrong, The dog could have been the wrong color, size, fur, whatever or now retired from breeding. We are lucky enough to work with a vet in the area who cares enough to scoop up these dogs and get them adopted instead of ........?? Adoption fee is $350All Ashland County Humane Society animals' adoption fees include:~spay/neuter~micro-chip~de-worming~vaccinations, including rabies~heartworm preventionIf you are interested in adopting this dog, please visit:www.ashlandhumane.org/adoption-application(copy and paste link to address bar) for a printable application.Complete and email back to applications@AshlandHumane.orgWe are an all volunteer-based organization that does not have a building or a staff, only 8 members with jobs and families, trying to make a difference.
