She knows how to sit on command, unsure around new situations and won’t do well in a home with other pets or kids, so we are hoping to find a peaceful space where she can feel safe and supported during this time. She is a sweetheart and loves to cuddle.

That's in the past now and Rex is ready for a new start and a new family! Rex is looking for a strong owner who is interested in an active, smart companion. We adopted Molly at one month from a breeder 5 1/2 years ago. My wife and I are moving to an apartment on 2/10 and cannot take her. She needs a family that can give here more attention and activity than we can provide. She loves walks and could use a fenced yard to run around for exercise. She is not trained to go outside and uses training pads. Another issue, since she does not get enough stimulation, is toward the end of the day she wants to 'rearrange' furniture by pushing with her nose. We did not have young children when we got her. She gets excited to be around kids although it looks like she is overly excited until she settles in. We call her the 'mayor' since she likes to perch herself on top of the couch and look out the window watching everything She barks at the mail person and delivery trucks, all while wagging her tail.

Meet Jeri, a 1 year old male lab mix. He was found with his brother we are assuming Ben. He was not wearing identification and is not microchipped. He is very loving and full of hugs and kisses. He will need a little training on leash walking. But he is a quick learner. These two handsome boys are looking for their forever homes. Please come in and ask to meet Ben and Jeri today. Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.

Panda is a 4 to 5 year old male Lab Pit bull mix. He was found as a stray at Greenwich Rd. and Congress Rd. He was not wearing a license. Panda weighs 85 lbs. He is extremely shy but is coming around very quickly. He takes treats nicely. He just needs to have a little time to decompress but he has already shown how gentle he can be. He walks great on a leash. He is a very smart boy, he know sit shake and lay down. He likes to impress you with his zoomies he can be a bit of a show off. But he is not high energy , he is actually very laid back. He would need a meet and greet if you have other dogs in the home as Panda can be very dog selective. Come in and meet this cute Panda bear. Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). Ben needs to gain come confidence and is working hard on that. He will need someone who has patience and time to help Ben with some training. And he will reward you with his love and kisses.
