Meet Gabby! She is a 2.5-year-old Labradoodle weighing 43 lbs. Gabby came to us with significant hair loss from a breeding kennel (as shown in the last picture). At the time, we were unsure of the cause, but we now believe it was a hormonal imbalance, as the hair started growing back after she was spayed. She has now been groomed down to make all of the hair that she has the same length. There is a chance that the rest of the hair may never grow back, but there is also a chance that it will. Gabby is very shy at first, but is a gentle and kind soul when she warms up to you. She keeps her kennel clean, but will need some time to adjust to your new schedule. She is good with other dogs; cats are unknown, but shouldn't be an issue. She would do best with older kids, but younger kids will be okay as long as they are calm and understand to give her space if she needs it. Evo, is a four-year-old Labradoodle with an energetic temperament. We need to rehome him because he is starting to have trouble with our older dog. He is very loving and cuddly toward his people. Also very smart and a good listener, loves to play and snuggle. He just has some resource guarding issues and it is starting to become a problem with our older dog.

Story
We rescued Finn from the Richfield Animal Shelter. He is a dog that was found on the streets, brought in and treated. He is approximately 5 years old and neutered. Very quickly he made a friend with our then 5 year old chocolate lab. Finn likes to "challenge" one of our cats by staring at him, but the cat always wins! 😄 Finn has never bitten a human, to our knowledge. He just wanted a family and Finn has always gotten along with and loved our children. Finn likes to fetch and is a good protector, always alerting us that someone is approaching our home. Finn needs more room outdoors to exercise and we just don't have that at this time. Finn is a loving companion who likes to give "paw" and "sit up". I'm sure there's more for him to learn with you and your household. Finn is trained to take a toy when receiving anyone at the door instead of nipping at them. Finn eats top of the line food and is current on his shots.

Panda is a 4 to 5 year old male Lab Pit bull mix. He was found as a stray at Greenwich Rd. and Congress Rd. He was not wearing a license. Panda weighs 85 lbs. He is extremely shy but is coming around very quickly. He takes treats nicely. He just needs to have a little time to decompress but he has already shown how gentle he can be. He walks great on a leash. He is a very smart boy, he know sit shake and lay down. He likes to impress you with his zoomies he can be a bit of a show off. But he is not high energy , he is actually very laid back. He would need a meet and greet if you have other dogs in the home as Panda can be very dog selective. Come in and meet this cute Panda bear. Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.

Atlas is looking for a home due to no fault of his own. He was found as a stray around 1 year old. The couple then divorced some years later. An uncle then took the dog but due to his declining health, is no longer able to keep him. Atlas needs his forever home. We are currently fostering him. Contact me for more information. Details: *Atlas - 6 years old *Lab/Hound mix *78 lbs. *Neutered Needs: *Loves people. Just wants to be with and loved on by people. * Children 10/+ due to his exuberant play style, strength and size * NO cats * NO small dogs. We are unsure how he would do with bigger dogs, but has got along with them in the past. Proper introductions would be necessary. * Needs at least one hour of exercise daily. Extras: * impeccable potty manners. Can go all night (up to 10 hours) without issues. * Knows sit, paw, drop it and backup * Learning commands: halt (stop/stay), forward, and how to walk on a leash. * Needs more training walking on a leash, but is making progress.
