Need experienced dog owner! Adopted him from a shelter near California when he was 2.5 yrs. (Now 6 yrs) It was very clear he was abused as a puppy he would flinch at sudden movements. He is particularly cautious of men. And will growl at them until he gets comfortable. He does good around our cats as he is used to them I do not know how he will do meeting new cats. Commands, sit, stay, lay down, shake and easy (taking treats from your hand). He is very sweet most of the time but unpredictable. He has been around 4 kids his entire time with us. He does well and is OVERLY protective of them. To a fault, he has lunged at multiple people for being too close to his kids. He has never bitten a human in our experience but has fought with other dogs, to the point of having to pull them apart. We are having another baby and worry with having him in the house with a baby. He loves to play, loves the outdoors and loves water. He has so much potential for the right owners!

Cupcake is a gem! She’s a 5 year old Labrador Retriever. She is the sweetest most affectionate dog you’ll ever meet. She loves food, playing ball, and cuddling up like the lapdog she believes she is. She is great with other dogs and kids. Our dream for her would be for her to be adopted with her playmate, Stone, also a yellow Lab, although not required. She is spayed and up to date on shots. After years of being a devoted mama and producing several litters, she has been rescued, spayed, and is finally ready to live a real life with a real family—the kind that plays ball in the yard, snuggles on the couch, and lets her be a beloved companion instead of a working brood. She is incredibly affectionate and thrives on connection. Cupcake lights up around kids and other dogs, and she would be happiest in a home where she can be part of the daily rhythm of family life. She loves a good game of fetch and is just as content curling up for long cuddles. She has a gentle, easygoing nature that makes her a joy to live with. Great with: Kids • Other dogs (especially a male playmate) Not a match for: Cats or chickens She is used to seeing farm animals through the fence line and takes that in stride. Cupcake currently has a wonderful playmate named Stone (a male yellow Lab) and would do beautifully if they could stay together. She would also do well as an only dog or with another compatible male companion. Cupcake has already given so much. Now she just wants a home where she can be someone’s girl—the one who greets you at the door, drops a ball at your feet, and melts into your side at the end of the day.
