Story
Auggie is a 3-year-old Lagotto Romagnolo. Rehome did not offer Lagotto as a breed option, so I selected Doodle because he is non-shedding and often mistaken for one. Auggie is a good dog with a sweet heart and big personality, but he needs the right environment to thrive. He is high-energy, easily excited, and does not wear out easily. He needs lots of daily physical exercise, structure, patience, and ideally another well-balanced dog in the home. A secure yard or space where he can run would be best. This is a very hard decision, but my current schedule and family situation do not allow me to give him what he needs consistently. Auggie needs experienced dog owners who understand dog behavior and can provide calm, consistent guidance. He is not a fit for apartments, first-time dog owners, or anyone looking for a low-maintenance dog. With the right active, patient home, Auggie has so much potential and will be a wonderful companion.

Story
Meet Birdie! If you're looking for a jogging partner, hiking buddy, fetch enthusiast, or future agility superstar, Birdie would like to submit her application immediately. This energetic Lab mix has been on the move since day one—literally. Birdie was born right here at the shelter 5 years ago and was adopted as a puppy. She is now seeking a new home after her family downsized and could no longer provide the active lifestyle she thrives on. Athletic, intelligent, and always eager for action, Birdie absolutely loves to run and play. Her favorite thing in the world? A tennis ball. Throw it once, and you'll have a friend for life. She can chase, retrieve, and repeat with enthusiasm that seems almost limitless. Watching her sprint across a yard in pursuit of her ball is like watching an athlete in her element - and this girl's got the "ups" to prove it! Seriously, she could rival Michael Jordan's air time! After spending most of her life with a family, Birdie is hoping to find another active household where she'll be more than just a pet—she'll be a teammate. Whether you're looking for a trail companion, a fetch partner, or a dog to grow with, Birdie is ready to give it her all. She's already waiting at the starting line. All she needs now is someone to say, "Go!"

Story
We're all motivated by something, and Francine is no exception. It doesn't take much to become her best friend: treats, toys, attention. Any combination of the three and she's golden putty in your hands. She's described by staff as "an all-around sweet baby angel". The only aversions Ms. "Sweet Baby Angel" has are veterinarians and other dogs. She'd do best as an only-dog where she can be the center of attention. And a little extra care may ease veterinary visits - but really, how many of us would rather throw apples at doctors and dentists than go to an appointment? So, we can sympathize with Francine on this one. She may be 6-yrs-old, but this girl has plenty of puppy energy left in her! She also already knows "sit" and "stay." Are you ready to be Francine's one and only? She's been waiting far too long to find her match! Come give her a chance and see what this girl is all about!
