Meet Asher, a one year old Lab/German Shepherd mix weighing 68 pounds.Asher is ready for his second chance—and we truly believe second time’s the charm for this smart, lovable guy. He was originally adopted from us as a puppy but returned because his energy level was more than his previous home could handle.Asher is full of personality—friendly, playful, and always ready to have a good time. He enjoys playing, exploring, and yes, sometimes digging when the mood strikes. He also does well on a leash and already knows “sit,” showing he has a great foundation to build on.It doesn’t seem like Asher had much training in his previous home, and he’s not fully potty trained yet, but he’s a bright dog who is eager to learn and a great temperment. With a little guidance, consistency, and patience, he has all the potential to become a well-mannered companion. He also lived with cats previously and did well with them.Asher is looking for an active home that will give him structure, continued training, and plenty of outlets for his energy. In return, you’ll get a fun, loyal companion who’s ready to grow right alongside you. Asher has met many other dogs while with us and has done well with all of them. He is a true joy to be around. This pet is available for adoption on 5.1.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
