Wrangler was surrendered to me by a friend, who had too many dogs in her care, so that I could help find him a new home. Wrangler is a Purebred Red Labrador. He is just shy of 3 years old. He is sweet, loving & playful. He loves going for walks and outings to the dog park. He enjoys splashing around in a kiddie pool. He is a strong and healthy young pup. Meet Jewels, a four month old Lab mix weighing 22 pounds.Jewels is a sweet, friendly puppy with a playful personality and a gentle, easygoing nature. Jewels is already working on learning “sit” and is showing signs that she should be very easy to train. She’s eager to please, food motivated, and ready to continue learning with a family who will help her build confidence and good manners.Whether she’s playing, cuddling, or practicing new skills for snacks, Jewels is the kind of puppy who will fit beautifully into many different homes. If you’re looking for a sweet companion with puppy charm and a great foundation for training, Jewels may be the perfect fit for your family. This pet is available for adoption on 5/31/2026 11:10 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Bankroll, a one and a half year old Staffie/Lab mix weighing under 60 pounds. Bankroll is ready to invest all of his love into one lucky family! This short and squat little guy has one of those faces that makes you stop and say, “Wait... what is he mixed with?” We’re still trying to figure that mystery out ourselves, but whatever the recipe is, the result is undeniably adorable.Bankroll came to us through Animal Control after his owner was arrested, and sadly no one ever came for him. While the shelter can be overwhelming, this sweet boy has shown us that underneath his nervous exterior is a dog who really just wants comfort and reassurance from people.During his photo session, Bankroll was a little intimidated by the camera and wasn’t quite sure about being the center of attention. But the moment the camera went down, he trotted right over looking for affection and love. He seems to be a big scaredy-cat at heart and clearly finds safety in being close to people. He walks nicely on leash and has an adorable little prance that somehow makes him even cuter.Bankroll isn’t looking to be the tough guy—he’s looking to be someone’s baby. He’s searching for a home where he can trade uncertainty for security and spend the rest of his days soaking up love, attention, and the comfort he’s been waiting for. This pet is available for adoption on 5/19/2026 12:49 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Gary`s adoption price has been donated in full!Meet Gary, a one-year-old Retriever/Pit mix weighing 45 pounds. Gary is an athletic, enthusiastic dog who’s still figuring out the world around him. He doesn’t seem to have had much socialization, so new situations can sometimes be confusing or overstimulating for him. With that said, Gary truly wants to do well and thrives when someone takes the time to guide him. This is the same with dogs, he just doesn`t know what to do with them. At first he is a little defensive and unsure but he settles in fast with reassurance and will likely enjoy their companionship if provided time and patience. However, he would be just as happy as an only dog. He soaks up attention and enjoys working with his person, responding well to redirection and structure. Gary is the kind of dog who will bond closely with his handler and flourish with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement.Gary is looking for a dedicated adopter who enjoys training and building a strong relationship. With the right guidance, he has the potential to become an amazing, loyal companion. This pet is available for adoption on 1/31/2026 at 11:52 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Teddy, a two-and-a-half-year-old Retriever/Boxer mix weighing 60 pounds. Teddy’s story starts with hardship, but it doesn’t define the dog he is today. He came to us through Animal Control after being surrendered by his owner, having lived in poor conditions with limited access to food and water. Despite everything he’s been through, Teddy has held onto a gentle, trusting heart. This sweet boy is lowkey and loving most of the time, happy to be by your side and soak up affection. He walks nicely on a leash, loves treats, and is eager to learn—he truly wants to please his people. Teddy has also shown that he is potty trained in a home environment. When he gets excited, Teddy can jump up, so a home without very young children would be the best fit. He would do best in a home without cats, as he does like to chase them. Teddy can do well with other dogs given a proper introduction.Teddy is ready for a fresh start with a family who will give him the stability, care, and love he’s always deserved. This pet is available for adoption on 5.1.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
