Story
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a beautiful 2-year-old Lab mix with stunning amber eyes and a heart as big as her 75-pound frame. This sweet girl is affectionate, well-mannered, and happiest when shes close to her people. Whether shes following you around the house or curled up beside you for snuggles, Lucy loves being part of the family. She is crate trained, doing great with house training, and is a quick learner who aims to please. Lucy walks wonderfully on a leash and enjoys daily adventures like walks or car rides, but she isnt overly energetic. A little backyard playtime and time with her people are usually enough to keep her happy. Lucy does wonderfully with kids, loves other dogs, and politely ignores cats. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the forever family shes been waiting for. If youre looking for a loyal, loving companion with the perfect mix of adventure and cuddle potential, Lucy may be your girl!

Story
Meet Frisky! Frisky is a 2-year-old lab/shepherd mix with the sweetest personality and the perfect mix of playful energy and loving companionship. She may be missing a leg, but being a tripod certainly doesnt slow her down one bit! She gets around great, loves life, and is always ready for fun and adventures with her people. She can be a little timid at first, but she warms up quickly and becomes incredibly affectionate once she feels comfortable. Frisky does wonderful with kids and other dogs, loves car rides, and would happily be your sidekick for everyday outings or cozy nights at home. Shes crate trained, housebroken, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Frisky is ready to find a forever family who will love her just the way she is

Story
Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.Patches is a 7-month-old male Lab mix who must be neutered before adoption. He was brought in by county animal control and no owner claimed him.  Patches is black with a bit of white markings; and when he is in the sunlight you can see brown highlights in his coat.  He does have a docked tail; and he weighs 52 pounds.  Patches came to us with some skin issues and he is responding to treatment and looks so much better.  He is such a good boy who is gentle, patient and very loving.  Patches is playful and enjoys playing with the other dogs at the shelter.  He would be great with children.  Looking for a new loyal companion?  Patches would be a great friend to have!Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  *****Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.*****August 13, 2026, 9:57 am

Story
Alaska is a sweet dog we inherited from our daughter. Our older dog passed and she seems lonely. We are entering retirement and will travel and we don't want to have her spend time in the kennel. We would love to find a good home for her. It will be hard to part with her but if she could have another dog brother or sister she would be much happier.
