Hello future best friends! My name is Oliver, but my pals call me Olly. I'm a 10-month-old mix pup-think Lab, Staffy, maybe even a dash of Corso-but one thing's for sure: I'm 100% good boy.I haven't had the best start in life, so I'm looking for someone who can give me what I've been missing-love, patience, and a little life "experience." The amazing team here has already taken me to the vet for a full check-up, and an incredible foster treated me to a spa day so I could shed some of my past (and a badly needed nail trim!).Now, it's time to turn the page and start my new journey-a journey filled with cuddles, adventures, and never looking back. Are you up for the adventure?Come meet Olly-your new best friend is waiting! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 17.4 Age: 0yrs 10mths 1wks

My name is SWEETIE and here is a little info about me: Breed: Labrador Retriever (Black coat) MixAge: 5 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 56 lbsHeight: (ground to shoulder) 21.6 Inches (55 cm)Highlight(s): social with all humans, loyal, loving Update: I am so happy to now be living in Vancouver. I am friendly with every human I meet and I'm progressing in my ability to feel safe with other dogs. As I progress in being more familiar with my humans being able to protect me, I am able to trust them to keep me safe around other dogs which makes a whole bunch of difference in how I feel when out walking, I love cuddles, walks, and any exciting adventures with my humans. I look forward to showing my adopter how wonderful a dog I am. I will love playing in your yard if it's fenced and I love car rides. I'm not quite perfect yet, but I'm working on it! Would you perhaps be my new family to join me in my enjoyment of life?! History:  Not many dogs live up to their name quite like SWEETIE does! She is truly a sweetheart. If you love the unrequited love that only a lab mix can give, SWEETIE is your girl.Sweetie is lovely – she is described by volunteers as being relaxed and easy going with people - kids as well. She is friendly with literally everyone and has a kind, loyal, loving soul. RESCUE STORY: As a black dog in a high-kill shelter, SWEETIE was often overlooked until her time came to be on the euthanasia list due to lack of space.  LET’S GIVE THIS GIRL A LOVING HOME THAT SHE DESERVES!ENERGY LEVEL: Low to ModerateI get along with:DOGS: She is still dealing with some fears around other dogs so will need a bit of help in learning to trust them.CATS: Unknown but likely not because of prey instinctsKIDS: yesFEARS: currently, other dogs TRAINING: She has received leash and command training since her arrival in Canada LEASH SKILLS: Some fear-based barking when passing other dogs in close proximity HOUSE TRAINED: YesHEALTH NOTES: Normal girl with good health markersSPAYED:  yesVACCINATED: Yes (Rabies, Bordetella, Da2PP)MICROCHIPPED: Yes   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Hi, I'm Ziba. Please find info about me below.Breed: labrador/Golden Retriever mixAge: 4 years (d.o.b: 4/3/2021)Gender: female, spayedWeight: 26 kg Hi guys! My name is Ziba, and it means pretty in my native language. And let me tell you, boy am I pretty! I definitely do my name justice! Here are some things that you should know about me: You could say I’ve had a really rough life. I became blind due to a blow on the head. One of my eyes had to be removed because of it. My owner was not a good person. Let’s just leave it at that! I absolutely love people and love receiving attention. I love my fellow, doggy friends and love to play with them. I in general get along very well with humans and dogs, but I am definitely not a fan of cats. It would be best to be adopted in a home with no cats. I love playing with other dogs and going on long walks. Despite my very bad experience with humans, I still love to be around people, and I’m hoping that you can help erase my traumatic experience from my mind. I really look forward to meeting you! Energy level: moderate Prey Drive: non-observed, however, my adopter needs to be willing to train me should these behaviors ariseGets along with: Other dogs: yes Kids: yesCats: NoHere are some videos of her with kids and human. https://youtube.com/shorts/RniiPVoEKHo?si=5pbkzOMXnHvRSRio, https://youtube.com/shorts/BU1kzR1WPds?si=lR4UEXgHuUuWC-8Z Fears: I have experienced a major lack of love and attention, so I am mostly afraid of being abandoned. Training: Leash training: yes House trained:  Health notes:I am blind and have had one eye completely removed. I am spayed vaccinated and microchipped My adoption fee is 750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Story
Hello! My name is Taemi, and I have quite a tale to share with you. First here is a little more about me: Breed:  Age: 1 year 9 months old (born Jan. 2024) Gender: Female     Weight: 41 lbs Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, no sign of aggression or resource guarding issue Country of Origin: South Korea I was born on January 15, 2024, in the cold winter next to a busy road. My mom was tied up outside, and no one even knew she was pregnant until kind people intervened and brought her to safety at a private shelter. I was the smallest of my siblings, but I'm growing bigger every day. My mom weighs 21kg, and who knows, I might even grow bigger than her someday! I was born and raised in a shelter, separated from my mom at just 2 months old. I learned basic social skills from my mom, who is a people dog with a great personality. I believe I inherited her friendly nature, and I'm eager to learn more about the world around me. I've recently started exploring new experiences like meeting new people, going on walks, and even riding in a car - it's all so exciting! I may have been a bit shy when I met a new person for the first time on May 25, but I'm slowly coming out of my shell. I'm good with other dogs, having grown up around 10+ furry friends at the shelter. I even came across a cat during a walk and was just a little curious, but not reactive at all. While I'm still learning about walking on a leash and getting used to new environments, I'm making progress every day. I haven't shown any signs of aggression and have no issues with resource guarding. I may not be housetrained just yet, but I'm a quick learner and eager to please. If you're looking for a sweet and curious pup to join your family and explore the world together, then look no further. Adopt me, Taemi, and let's embark on new adventures and create lasting memories together! I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: yesKids: yes (no video proof) Health notes: I will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped mid-July. No aggressive behaviours or resource gaurding noted. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. ##2078840##

Story
Hello to all my fans. My name is REMY and here is a little info about me:Breed: Labrador Retriever/Anatolian Shepard mixAge: 1 yearGender: maleWeight: 22 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: smart, affectionate, social, loyal, sweet, playful I am super photogenic and love to pose with my beautiful eyes for the camera. It was a bitter, winter morning when my rescuer's friend, who owns a small shop near her home, arrived to open for the day. Something unusual caught her eye — a small door mat left at the doorstep. And on it, a tiny puppy, me, curled up tight trying to keep warm against the cold.I was alone, shivering, too young to understand why the world had already let me down.Like a child left behind, I had been abandoned—quietly, anonymously, without a trace of care.My rescuer came to pick me up. She had gentle arms and soft words. I went to a temporary shelter where there were a couple other wayward souls waiting. Now, I have food, water and a piece of hope every day.As any puppy, I love to play. Though I am young yet, I have already learned how to walk well on leash. Pretty impressive, hunh? Well, let me tell you, I am an intelligent boy. That will make me pretty easy to train.Oh, I should mention, I am also very affectionate. I get along with other dogs quite well. People are on my list of joyous things. Children are fun to be around too. Since I live at a shelter, I have not yet learned housetraining, but I know I will pick it up fast. Most all of us rescues seem to grasp it readily. I'm no longer that helpless pup on a mat. I've grown into a sweet, smart, and playful boy.I walk proudly on a leash & listen to music like it’s magic and I've already told you about my anazing gaze into the camera. Movie dog in the making.I should be able to adapt to most homes. I just need adequate exercise, a place to lay my head on your lap, treats and lotsa love. I'm the loyal type, so hope you are ready for a buddy for life. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: yes Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: no. Please help me learn! Health notes:I am too young yet to be spayed/neutered, but I am vaccinated and microchipped. Spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the adopter and is required for my adoption to be finalized. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2410423##

THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG. Please do NOT submit an application through LALDR. Please contact Cheryl at cherylepeters@gmail.com for more information or to adopt. Hi everyone, I am the nervous but loveable JD and here's some information about me: Age: 1 yr 6 months Breed: Labrador/ Doberman mixGender: Male Weight: 35-40 lbsHeight: 18 inches I am a very sweet, cuddly, smart, gentle, curious and affectionate boy. I would thrive in a calm and active home with dog savvy people who are willing to work consistenly on my training and enrichment. Because of my upbringing and the death of my elderly owners, I am a bit anxious and I somtimes bark when meeting new people.  I however do settle in easily with patience and treats from my handler. I'm pretty unbothered seeing people at a distance and I don't bark at people with dogs while in the car. Car rides make me a bit anxious but I will calm down after a few minutes. I do somtimes fall asleep on long car rides. I don't like being left alone, in the car or at home. My foster and I were working on this and I am starting to show improvement after a week of daily practice. I know how to ‘sit’ and ‘leave it’ very well, and I'm learning some other simple commands like ‘enough’, ‘no’, ‘off’, ‘this way’ (with a gentle pull on leash). My leash skills are fine with room for improvement. I always love putting on my harness because then I know I get to go outside! I am curious about other animals, but I don't have a high prey drive. I don't chase or bark at cats, rabbits, squirrels, birds, deer, or other dogs. In the kennel I'm staying in now, I've been making friends with the other dogs and playing with them sometimes. I am not food aggressive, and my favourite snack is broccoli! I think I would likely do very well with other dogs in the home. I'd love humans who work from home or are home often because I love my people. I had a pretty tough start to my life, but I'm looking forward to finding my special dog lover out there who can help me learn how to relax more easily and truly thrive. I haven’t been around children yet. Older, calmer kids or teenagers who can be patient with me while I learn will be better for me. Everyone around me thinks that I will be an amazing companion to very special humans who recognize my potential. Once I trust you, you’ll be my friend forever. My owners weren't really equipped to take great care of me because of their age and activity levels, and they left me alone alot when they got sick, so I can be a bit fearful sometimes, but I very quickly take a shine to new people who treat me with trust and a gentle spirit. My dad did take me to puppy school where I learned some basics when I was a baby, but I still don't like to go in my crate much, so we'd need to work on that together. I love putting on my harness to go for walks and I'm generally a good boy on leash. I've been learning to get along well with other dogs and it's been fun for me to play with them! I wasn't initially housetrained, so I was not great at waiting to go outside, however my foster and kennel experience has helped me learn how that works and I have gotten much better at not making a mess! An adoption fee of $100 applies. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.Please do NOT submit an application through LALDR.
