Story
Stella is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. A family observed Stella being pushed out of a vehicle and abandoned. They took her in and were planning on keeping her since she was such a great dog - being good with their dog, cats, and chickens. But their first dog did not like Stella and attacked her, so Stella had to go. Stella is microchipped and we discovered that she was adopted from a shelter in Greenville SC. The adopter moved to Texas and told us that they had "rehomed" her. Stella is a yellow lab/chow mix (she has the purple tongue of a chow) and she weighs 80+ pounds. The microchip data tells us that she is 6 years old. Stella is a very good dog. She was understandably scared of our other dogs at first but she is now okay since she knows they won't hurt her, and she has just started to play with some of them. Stella has not shown any interest in toys or chew bones, but she loves treats. Stella is also content to lay in the yard or in the house and loves pets, scratches, belly rubs, and human attention. Stella is fine with cats and chickens. She has no interest in them. Stella is house-trained and very well-behaved in the house. She will whine when she needs to go outside. Stella rides well in a vehicle, sits on command, and comes when called. She likes to go on walks (but pulls on the leash sometimes). Stella could use some additional gentle obedience training. Stella needs a few days to learn to trust new people and unfamiliar situations but treats quickly make things better. We recommend that Stella only be around older children who know how to behave respectfully with dogs. Stella must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She needs to be walked on a leash and would like a securely fenced yard to sun herself and go potty. Stella is healthy. She is spayed and tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Stella is heartworm-negative and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Stella's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Kent, Arlington, or Bellingham WA. Stella is being fostered in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. ~~THIS IS A COURTESY POST. THESE DOGS ARE **NOT** IN THE CARE OF AHS. PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER DIRECTLY AT terahrose711@gmail.com TO INQUIRE ABOUT THE DOGS. ALL REHOMING FEES WILL BE DISCUSSED WITH THE OWNER. THANK YOU~~ .Please meet Jazzy, Fatima, Rex and Oreo. They are 12 week old Labranese/Border Collie Mixes. Fatima is sweet, but energetic.  Jazzy is super smart and very sweet, but also fairly dominant.  Rex is not nearly as excitable, and it is very sweet, but will probably be more on the lazy side. Oreo is a little bit standoffish, and seems to be an even mix between energetic and chill.  I think with the right person, he would be very devoted to one person or a family but it would probably require a fair bit of socialization to get him comfortable with many people and other animals. ~~THIS IS A COURTESY POST. Story
Currently Fostered in Portland OR and ready for Meet and Greets** This cutie is Canyon. She is currently 5 months old, and we think they may be a Lab / Pitbull mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves her life as well as the life of another in its place. Canyon is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. She loves to play with her siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! She is very sweet and affectionate. She can be shy at first but warms up when she starts to get to you know you. Canyon is picking up potty training well and is very smart. She ignores the resident cat and is a curious and affectionate gal. Canyon is still young so they will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. He is so trainable, he loves the water, loves to play fetch. He’s not dominant with other dogs, he’s very playful like a kid on the playground. He loves to have fun, he is such a happy boy. Drew is a gorgeous possible pointer pit mix looking for a home with a family and a yard and would THRIVE in a home with other pups to play with throughout the day & then cuddle up with his family with the safety. He will do well in a home with structure and someone who has had a dog before and has a sense of humor. He gets along great with people and other dogs but shouldn’t go to a family with kitties. Drew has been in a foster home with kids 15 and up and did great. He rides well in the car - he stays in the back seat and looks out the window like a good boy. He also loads and unloads on his own. He attend ls doggy day care with up to 15 dogs in the play group. He loves a party playgroup! Drew is doing very well at training, he knows the touch command and is currently working on Down. He does very well loose leash walking. See Drew in action! https://youtu.be/chSGRzctYo8 https://youtu.be/6U_xUK8deAI His foster mom says Drew has happy energy and loves to go for walks and runs around the neighborhood, but also loves to just hang out and chew on his bone at home. He's also a big fan of snuggles on the couch! Drew LOVES LOVES LOVES to play with other dogs, but is not a fan of cats! Fully house and crate trained! He is not constantly jumpy or hyper, he actually has a great balanced energy level. Drew will make for an excellent companion and hiking buddy! He also LOVES water and will enjoy trips to the rivers, lakes, and beaches! Don't miss out on this handsome and fun guy, he is ready for his Happily Ever After! Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
This little hunk is Granger! He is currently 7 months old, and we think he may be a golden/lab mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his life as well as the life of another in its place. Granger is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play with his siblings and take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat- such is puppy life! Granger is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend!
