Story
Meet Amaterasu – A Loyal, Energetic Companion Ready for Her Next Adventure I'm a Roadside Rescue! My fee is $100! Amaterasu is a stunning 6-year-old Labrador Retriever Mix, weighing in at 71 lbs, with a strong spirit and a heart full of love. She is very people friendly and absolutely thrives on attention and human companionship. Highly intelligent and active, Amaterasu would do best with an experienced, active adopter who can match her energy and give her the mental and physical stimulation she craves. She walks very well on leash and enjoys getting out and exploring the world with her people by her side. Amaterasu is dog selective, so if you have another dog at home, a meet and greet is required to ensure compatibility. She may prefer to be your one-and-only, soaking up all the attention for herself. If you’re looking for a bold, loyal, and intelligent companion, Amaterasu could be the perfect addition to your life. ---- Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
I adopted Ruger at about 6 months old. She was born in July 2016 and is now 9 years old but she has not aged since the day I got her. She is lively and loves to go on walks and play. She likes to cuddle up in your lap or on her bed in front of the fire place. She would do best in a home as the only pet. She does love kids and will play nicely with them. She is really a super sweet dog. She does have a strong prey drive for birds, squirrels, rabbits, other small animals and cats. She does not get along with other female dogs and sometimes struggles with males as well. She does have anxiety during the fourth of July with all the fireworks. Her anxiety for other things like thunder is less but she still has some. She has some anxiety for being left alone but does well in a kennel. She can climb and dig so you will need to take that into consideration. I have to rehome her as she doesnt get along with our other dogs and it breaks my heart.

Story
We acquired Ginger in early 2021 when we had plenty of time at home during COVID. We found her at the humane society just under a year old, and immediately fell in love with how sweet she was. She was super excited, energetic, and outgoing, but her sweetness is always what stood out the most. Currently she is 5 years old, going on 6 years old. We are hoping to find a new home with people who have more time to be with her. She is certainly a great dog, and would really thrive in a home where she can spend time with her owners and family.

Story
Ryoko is a 7-year-old, 60 lb chocolate Lab/Doberman/Whippet mix. I have had her for 2 years and she is an extremely loving, loyal, and smart dog who wants to be near her person. She is fully potty trained, great with other dogs and kids (but very excitable), and she LOVES fetch-she could play for hours. Ryoko is spayed, fully vaccinated, and I have complete vet records since I’ve had her. She has a mild belly skin irritation, but the vet has confirmed nothing is wrong (sharing for transparency). Ryoko needs daily exercise and mental stimulation and does best with someone who is home more often. She has separation anxiety and may bark/whine when left alone for long periods. She is smart but can be stubborn and needs a patient, consistent owner. She has had a neck strain, so she cannot wear a collar and must be walked with a harness. She will come with toys, puzzles, and supplies. My top priority is finding the right home that truly understands her needs.

Story
Flynn likes to go for walks has a lot of energy. If you play ball with him and throw far as you can he will bring back to you and he will be your best friend after that. He just turned 6 years old it's actually my daughters dog she moved in with me and we can't have him here. I would recommend a big yard for him he likes to run around and he loves toy's. Requires lots of attention his mama spoiled the heck out of him may take a little to adjust to a stranger but walking and the ball. I believe should do the trick she's looking for temporary home until she gets back on her feet and gets her own place again

Story
Welcome sweet Piper girl! Piper is a 3-month-old Lab mix (with a sprinkle of mystery breeds) who recently made the journey from Houston to Colorado in search of her forever home. She’s expected to stay on the small-medium side full grown, but her personality is anything but small.   From the moment she arrived at her foster home, Piper’s joy has been contagious. She loves to bounce around the yard with the cutest zoomies, happily trying to convince every dog she meets to be her new best friend. She’s doing great with her foster siblings and simply assumes everyone wants to play as much as she does.   When the excitement winds down, her softer side shines. Piper is a true cuddle bug who wants to be close to her people and will absolutely try to claim a cozy spot on the couch if given the chance. She has the most irresistible ears that sit perfectly on top of her head when she’s relaxing, giving her a permanently adorable expression that’s hard not to fall for.   With her bright blue eyes, affectionate nature, and playful spirit, Piper is ready to grow up alongside a family who will include her in both adventures and quiet moments alike.   She made the trip to Colorado for a fresh start. Now she just needs someone to share it with.
