Story
Endicott is one of two great puppies who have an incredible story and finally arrived in the USA to find their forever home. Endicott is now the only puppy available for adoption. He was found along with his siblings starved, dehydrated, covered in scratches, and riddled with parasites in a Mexican beach town. A kind American nursed them back to health, taking them to the vet frequently, then obtained all necessary paperwork to fly them back to Florida. He is 5 months old, healthy, happy, UTD on all shots, neutered, and on NextGard heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Sweet and gentle, with the usual puppy energy, and quite low-maintenance. People always say mutts make the best pets and these two prove the point! He is working on his potty training and is eager to please. He comes when called, and sits on command. Well behaved in the car, and learning to walk on a leash. He loves to run and play, then collapse and nap. Endicott wants to be close to his people. He seems grateful for the second chance he has been given. As you can see from the photos he is a lab/terrier mix. Endicott (all black except for white toes) is also on the smaller side weighing about 30 lbs and he likely won't get much bigger. Adoption fee is $250.00

Story
Nellie (7 years old- 56LBS) is one of those dogs who is always super HAPPY. What ever you do she will follow you in the house. This what the foster has to say: Nellie is a sweet girl and very smart. Her history She is the only one who made it alive out of the 13th in the house) is not a kind one but but her trust in humans is strong. Crate trained, housebroken, we have our evening moment in the yard and she is good until morning, walks well on a leash. Has learned the puppy doors to get outside and some basic commands (I try to use hand signals and less voice). Vet said she is in perfect health. Shedding - not so much. Her routine is rather simple - morning pp - greenie treat - walk - feed me - nap time. Nellie is the perfect pet for a retired single or couple that want to have a furry companion that just wants to be loved and near you just like a shadow. She had a training lesson and did very well. Will come with an other one to adjust to her new home. Total sweetheart. if you want an easy dog who will love you forever Nellie is here for you. Please fill out the application online. Her adoption fee is $50.00- she is completely vetted.

Story
Jordan is under a year old- 22 LBS and is a great little one who was hit by a car and almost lost her leg. A note from her foster Mom Ruthie: Hi my name is Jordan the dog. Despite all the bad things that have happened to me, I'm a happy girl. The rescue picked me up from the pound when I had a broken leg and I couldn't use my leg at all. But now my leg is better, and I can use it and run and jump and play like I used to be able to do. I love my foster mom so much. All I want is to please her and do right by her and make her happy and be a good girl. I love all the attention and affection I can get from my foster mom and seek it out regularly. She tells me I'm a good girl and a smart girl all the time. I would do anything to protect my foster mom because I love her so much. I love my foster brother and sisters and their cats. I am a little shy and will warm up quickly. I'll love you too. I promise I'll be a good girl if you adopt me. I'm really looking forward to finding my forever family and my forever home. Please come meet me and consider adopting me. With love, from Jordan Her adoption fee is $290.00- Please remember she had surgery which was over 4K. If you are interested in adopting a very nice and sweet girl please fill out the application. Thanks for rescuing.

Sophia comes from the Shelter and was going to be euthanized about a month ago. She was very stressed there and was hiding so for that reason she could not go on the adoption floor. So glad she never did. She is the sweetest girl and is great with cats and of course dogs. Sophia is now fostered on Sanibel island and goes to the beach everyday. Like her foster Mom says: she is the sweetest dog ever. Even by looking at there you can see that. She is a year old- 35LBS and believed to be a Labrador. Potty trained. Story
Kaia was in a shelter and spent her first few years of her life tethered with hardly any water and food. Her tail was amputated after bleeding so much (happy tail syndrome)- When we took her out of the shelter, she was confused and had to be carried out. She was frozen and so scared. She was reunited with her sister Jojo and are now playing and feeling so much better. She must go with an other dog. No condo or apartment. A note from her foster Mom Megan: Kaia is a very sweet girl who gets along beautifully with her doggie friends. She has met all breeds and ages and enjoys being with each and every one. She loves to play and run with her friends, and is learning how to walk on a leash. Kaia can be a little shy at first, but once you spend some time allowing her to come to you and rewarding her with yummy treats, she will follow you anywhere! She absolutely loves to come give you kisses if you sit on the floor letting you know that she can trust you! Kaia is crate trained and food motivated. She is a petite little lady who would make any home very happy! Her adoption fee is $150.00- sorry we do not adopt to family with young children. she is 3 years old and 35LBS

I was pregnant and alone, desperate to find a safe place to have my puppies when a miracle happened and I was picked up and brought to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue! I delivered my 8 babies within 2 hours of settling in. I did a great job raising my pups and now it is my turn to find my forever home! My rescue doesn't quite know my mix, but I'm likely a pittie/lab/border collie cross. I weigh about 40 pounds and am about 2 years old (estimated). I'm good with other dogs and kids (cats unknown). My $350 adoption fee has been lowered to $50 and covers my up-to-date vaccinations, spay, microchip, hearworm test (negative) and all the TLC I have received. If you would like to adopt me please go to www.gofar.dog and complete an adoption application. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. Adoption fee is $50 during our Bissell Empty the Shelters event 5/1 – 5/15!! Application must be submitted to secure an appointment! Hi I'm Pee Wee! I was living off the side of a busy road with my 2 siblings and my mama. Mama was hurt and we were protecting her. Thankfully a Good Samaritan was able to contain our little family and get us to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue to get the medical and general care we needed. I'm a very sweet, lovable, handsome boy estimated at around 6 months old. Mama appeared to be a pointer but my sisters and I look like labs.My $400 adoption fee has just been lowered to $50 and includes vet check, up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip and neuter (to be done after adoption before July 2024) at one of my rescue's vets in Fort Myers. Hi I'm Connor! My whole litter was unwanted and we were surrendered to Guardians of Florida, thankfully, where we received the general and medical care to get strong and healthy for our forever families. We are ready for our homes and we are just stunning in person with beautiful silky coats-pictures don't do us justice! We all resemble lab/hound mixes and our rescue estimates our birth at early December. We are active pups looking for active families. We would do best in homes with older children or no children due to our level of activity. Our $400 adoption fee includes vet check, up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip and spay/neuter at one of our rescue's Ft Myers vets when I get a little bit older. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an application at www.gofar.dog under "Adopt".If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog.
