Story
Poor Jewel was part of a litter of seven surrendered to ARC in February 2025. She and her sibling, Jagger, were thrilled to be adopted together and head off to what they believed was their forever home. Sadly, they were recently returned through no fault of their own. Now, Jewel and Jagger are once again hoping for a second chance. These two are incredibly sweet, just like the rest of their litter, who were known for their wonderful dispositions—and that hasn’t changed one bit. They are playful, loyal, and full of love, and with just a little continued training, they will make amazing lifelong companions. Story
**BONDED PAIR** We’d love to see them be adopted together, but will consider separating for the right homes. Luna and Nala were just pulled from a County shelter on 6/24. We were told they’re sisters who are very dependent on each other and we’re hoping for a miracle in finding someone who will adopt them both. After a few days in a foster home and being able to get to know them, it seems like Luna (the smaller one) is more independent and could be adopted separately. Nala tends to want constant company and interaction. She’d love to have a family where someone is home often and can spend time with her. They’re both very sweet and happy dogs, with a medium energy level. ** PLEASE NOTE THAT NALA IS HEARTWORM POSITIVE, BUT HER TREATMENT IS BEING COVERED BY OUR RESCUE ORGANIZATION AND THE SHELTER. Heartworm Disease is extremely treatable, especially in younger dogs such as Nala.

This is Sugar. She's approximately 12 years old and about 70 pounds. Sugar does have advanced Arthritis in her joints and needs a daily prescription pain reliever. Her adopter will need to understand the importance of annual vet checkups and bloodwork to monitor her meds. She will need them for life. Sugar is an extremely well behaved dog. She's easy to care for and easy to love.. She gets along well with cats and also likes most dogs as long as they're not directly in her face and being rambunctious.
