Story
**BONDED PAIR** We’d love to see them be adopted together, but will consider separating for the right homes. Luna and Nala were just pulled from a County shelter on 6/24. We were told they’re sisters who are very dependent on each other and we’re hoping for a miracle in finding someone who will adopt them both. After a few days in a foster home and being able to get to know them, it seems like Luna (the smaller one) is more independent and could be adopted separately. Nala tends to want constant company and interaction. She’d love to have a family where someone is home often and can spend time with her. They’re both very sweet and happy dogs, with a medium energy level. ** PLEASE NOTE THAT NALA IS HEARTWORM POSITIVE, BUT HER TREATMENT IS BEING COVERED BY OUR RESCUE ORGANIZATION AND THE SHELTER. Heartworm Disease is extremely treatable, especially in younger dogs such as Nala.

This is Sugar. She's approximately 12 years old and about 70 pounds. Sugar does have advanced Arthritis in her joints and needs a daily prescription pain reliever. Her adopter will need to understand the importance of annual vet checkups and bloodwork to monitor her meds. She will need them for life. Sugar is an extremely well behaved dog. She's easy to care for and easy to love.. She gets along well with cats and also likes most dogs as long as they're not directly in her face and being rambunctious.

Story
Hello, my name is Riot. I was surrendered by my owner who could no longer care for me. The nice people at Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue have been helping me become less scared and more sure of myself. During my time here, I received all of the general and medical care I needed to be ready for my forever home. I’ve learned to walk well on leash, sit, take treats gently and, most importantly, how to trust humans.I am almost 2 years old and weigh 20 lbs and my rescue was told I am a labradoodle. I am very gentle and sweet, but still quite shy. I would do best having another well-balanced dog in the home (I prefer females and am selective with other males - so bringing existing dogs to the meet and greet would be required).*** The rescue is currently looking for a family who has another dog.***Because of my past, I am a flight risk. I will not be able to go off leash outside- either in a yard or a dog park. I love going for walks though, so an owner who likes to go for walks is important to me. I am looking for someone who has patience and experience with fearful ( non aggressive) dogs.My $350 adoption fee includes vet exams, up to date vaccines, deworming, neuter, heartworm test (negative) and microchip - all already done. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you encounter any issues with our website, please email adoptions@gofar.dog.If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. If you'd like to experience all the love I have, and want to make me part of your family, please complete the adoption application by pasting this link into your browser: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sm2546&method=online_form_html&formid=21
