Story

He's energetic and always up for an adventure, especially if there's a lizard to chase. Hand him anything squeaky and you've made his whole day. He's also a thoughtful, considerate pup who is smart and aware of everything going on around him.Bhalu is fully house trained and crate trained, and he already knows simple commands. He picks up new things quickly and loves the company of other dogs and people. He's more of a playmate than a lap dog. He shows his love by staying right in the action with you, though he will happily flop over for a good belly rub. He'll be a perfect fit for someone who wants an active companion with a sweet side while also being protective. Bhalu has not had much experience with kids or cats, so a meet and greet is the best way to see if he's a match for your family. If you're looking for a loyal, goofy, big hearted best friend, Bhalu is ready to meet you.

Story

UPDATE: 465 DAYS AT OUR KENNEL looking for a home. Sweet Max.one year old black lab mix. Max seems to have been incredibly unsocialized, we think possibly locked in a crate in a room alone for quite a while. He acts like an 8 week old puppy with no boundaries but he's in a big boy body. He needs a lot of work. Housebroken. Loves bath time and water. Loves toys. Playful and energetic, as any lab puppy should be. He's great with other dogs. Unknown with cats and other animals as he has never been around them. He needs a big yard and grass and sunshine. He is a good boy. ##1039448##

Story

Hi there! I'm Dakota! I'm a super friendly and handsome 6 month old black lab mix! I love people and have never really met a stranger! I have a ton of puppy energy and would make an excellent adventure companion! I came in with 8 of my siblings from some not so great conditions. I will need some work and training in a home, as I've never really been in one at all. However, I am food motivated and smart, so I'm sure teaching me will be a breeze! I can be a bit much for other dogs at times, but would do well with a very confident and tolerant dog companion!

Story

Are you loooking for a sweet ride or die? Look no further. Butch is a delightful friend and SO SMART! Rescued from a tethered hell. Butch languished for months on a cable tether. He was not fed well and he was taunted... treated like a vicious beast. He was frustated and anxious. Afraid and alone. Within moments of meeting him, we saw something different. We spent time sitting on the stoop, tossing him bits of our lunch. Eventually he settled enough to start catching the bits we tossed him. We then asked him to sit. And HE DID. How were we to believe this was a bad dog? He is a good dog that has been treated badly. We have had him for a couple weeks now and he is a new man. He is a big sweet, intelligent goof ball. He has started playing and loves to go for truck rides. He uses his nose to move your hand if he needs something. He is just amazing. He is not a purebred Golden retriever but he is SO GOLDEN! He is not recommended around small children, small animals or other dogs. He is intitailly distrusting of strangers but warms up to kindness quickly. He weighed 75 pounds when rescued and was VERY thin! He will likelt be a 100 pound dog when he is fully filled out! We have videos on our facebook that share the progression of his rescue. Just Search "BUTCH" in out facebook page. We have just a few volunteers and there is a week or two turnaround for adoption applications. If you cannot find our adoption application, please text our director for a link: Aspen (352)843-6858 ##1366256##
