Meet Brady! He’s a sweetie! He is very playful with a fun personality. He loves to cuddle and great with kids. Brady is kennel trained and will even go to his kennel on command. He is house trained but asks to go out by just standing at the door, so you do have to pay attention to that. He enjoys playtime, walks, and running in the yard. He is good with other dogs. He is working on tricks and is learning quickly. Brady would make a wonderful family dog or a one on one best friend! (Born April 2025)

Story
Do you want a family dog but think you don’t have the time? Ava is the perfect dog for your busy family! At 7 years old, she already has the basics down and is quick to learn the daily routines. She’s potty trained and can be trusted to be left alone for hours, peacefully napping until her humans get home. Don’t let her age fool ya, she’s still got energy for daily tug-a-war and loves a round of fetch. She doesn’t need much, but loves the attention when she gets it. She is very persistent about going at her own pace when on a leash, and at 60lbs she’ll need a leaseholder that can help guide her. She loves children and will give kisses to any face that comes into range. Note that, she is on a hydrolyzed protein diet due to food allergies, so she may do better in a home with older children that understand no table scraps. Must be an only dog and unsure how she is around cats. This loving couch potato is ready to claim your lap as her own.

Meet Happy! A 47 lb lab mix who lives up to her name! Happy loves to play! She will even throw her own toys up in the air and chase them! She loves other dogs and wants to play with them. This makes her a bit overwhelming to the smaller dogs in her foster home. Happy also loves people. Her foster home includes teenagers and she loves them as well as their friends. We have not had the opportunity to introduce her to small children but given her high energy level and desire to jump, we recommend she not be in a home with small children. Happy play bites a lot when she wants to play. This behavior has been slowly improving, but a future adopter needs to understand that Happy gets very mouthy when she plays. Happy enjoys walks. And chasing anything that moves: rabbits, birds, leaves. For this reason we recommend her forever home has a fenced yard. She currently takes 3-4 walks per day, for a total of 2-3 miles of walking. We are working on basic commands currently, like "sit" and "touch". Happy was heartworm positive and finished her treatments in October. She was put on heart medicine at the end of the treatment and we have just finished weening her off those. It does not appear that she will need heart medicine at this time. She is housebroken although the heart medicine she was on was a diuretic so we have been taking her out every 1.5-2 hours to go to the bathroom during the day. She sleeps in a crate and can make it 8 hours through the night without accidents. Happy does get startled easily by unexpected noises and can be possessive of her food. Happy is a very sweet dog who would love a home with someone willing to work with her and her energy with lots of toys and maybe another playful dog her size to play with. (Unknown birth year)
