Story
Chips, my lively Labrador Retriever mix, became part of the family nearly two years ago when I adopted him from a small town in central Illinois. At nearly two years old, Chips is bursting with energy and adores playtime, especially when it involves meeting new people and dogs. He's incredibly social and thrives on interaction, making him the perfect companion for an active family or someone who can dedicate plenty of time to him. In a new home, Chips would flourish with plenty of space to run and play, along with lots of love and attention. He's a social butterfly and a bundle of joy

Story
Introducing Mocha, the perfect blend of sweetness and playfulness, just waiting to be your newest family member! Mocha is a 5 month old Labrador Retriever mix weighing 25.3 pounds and is acing her potty training and is almost a pro. She's also getting the hang of crate time, though she might voice her opinion briefly before settling down for a cozy snooze. Indoors or out, Mocha is a social butterfly, enjoying romps with her furry foster siblings and engaging in spirited games of fetch with her favorite toys. But her absolute favorite activity? Snuggle time! If there's a lap available, you can bet Mocha will claim it faster than you can say "cuddle." Described as friendly, outgoing, and adaptable, Mocha is a joy to be around. Whether she's charming her way into the hearts of humans or frolicking with dogs of all sizes, her happy-go-lucky attitude shines through. Plus, she's a quick study! Mocha already knows the command to "sit" and is eager to learn more tricks to impress her future family. From car rides to crunchy leaf-chasing adventures in the yard, Mocha is always up for a good time. Her foster mom believes she'll thrive in a variety of environments, making her the perfect fit for families of all shapes and sizes. And while Mocha would love the company of another furry friend or playful kids, her ultimate dream is to find a lap to call her own at the end of the day. If you're ready to add a dash of love and a sprinkle of fun to your life, look no further than Mocha. Come meet this delightful pup today and discover why she's sure to steal your heart! Her minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Meet Gus, an AMAZING 2.5-year-old Black Lab mix weighing a solid 90 pounds. Gus's journey began on a chain, but fate intervened when compassionate souls rescued him. Despite his challenging past, Gus embodies sweetness and resilience. He's currently discovering the joys of being a cherished family member, making remarkable strides in house training, and excelling in crate behavior. Gus is the epitome of a canine companion, showcasing his amicable nature with cats, kids of all ages, and a deep affection for fellow dogs. His desire for companionship is so profound that he once orchestrated a daring escape from his outdoor pen just to spend time with another canine friend. A true socialite, Gus thrives in the company of his four-legged pals, making him an ideal addition to a home with a furry buddy. His happiness seems to hinge on having a friend to share his days with and we'd love to honor his wishes by sending him to a home with a canine companion. This big-hearted boy finds joy in simple pleasures—playing with toys, romping around the yard or house with his doggy comrades, and relishing leisurely walks. While he can be enthusiastic on the leash due to his size and strength, his zest for life is infectious.  Unfortunately, Gus has faced the challenge of heartworm disease due to his previous outdoor lifestyle. The silver lining is that treatment is underway, and he's on the path to recovery. During this time, Gus needs a loving home within an hour of Bloomington-Normal, where adopters can provide the calm and care essential for his healing journey, as well as be able to adhere to our treatment schedule. We invite compassionate individuals who can embrace Gus's healing process and offer him the forever home he deserves to apply! Together, let's provide Gus with the love, comfort, and companionship that will shape the next chapter of his life. If you're ready to open your heart to Gus, we eagerly await your application. His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.  He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
