Story
Meet Jet — the cutest dude around! (He is currently with Levelland Animal Friends foster in Texas and can be transported with Project Freedom Ride when he is adopted) *8 Months Old as of 11-09-25 *Will weigh about 30 lbs full grown *Dog-Friendly *Treat Motivated *Neutered, fully vaccinated and heartworm negative If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who still knows how to have fun — Jet is your guy! His life started out a bit rocky as he was homeless in a tiny rural town in Texas. But, his luck changed when he landed in a great foster home that has taken care of his every need! Jet is a laid-back pup who enjoys a good play session with toys, but he’s just as happy relaxing by your side. He likes meeting new people and gets along well with other dogs, making him a great fit for many home types. He’s doing well learning his leash manners and is very treat motivated — which means training is fun and rewarding for both of you. He’s the perfect mix of puppy energy and calm temperament and should mature around 30 pounds — a great medium-sized buddy! Jet is ready for a family who will love him, continue his training, and share life’s adventures — big and small. If Jet sounds like your new best friend, reach out — he can’t wait to meet you! 🐾 Please reach out or fill out an adoption application today! ****Adoption/inquiry form link (please copy and paste in your browser): https://form.jotform.com/241436494645160 Jet is available through Levelland Animal Friends, a partner rescue of Project Freedom Ride. Details
Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Name: Speckle Age: 4 months (DOB 9/22/2025) Breed: Lab/Husky/Cattle Dog Mix Size: 25 pounds currently (expected 50lb+) Special Needs: confident adopters. Speckle is going to take more work than a normal puppy to integrate into a new house. Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Speckles has a story not that uncommon among many dogs in South Mississippi. She and her siblings were part of an "accidental litter" to a female that was not spayed. Her human parents loved them with all their might and tried to find them homes, but unfortunately were unsuccessful. When they came to HSSM they were scared, unsocialized puppies already 20-35 pounds at just 3.5 months. HSSM staff has been hard at work helping them overcome their "stranger danger" and socializing them with people and other dogs. Due to Speckles' less than ideal start, she will take someone who will be patient with her as she grows and learns to trust new people. Once she warms up, though, she is an energetic puppy who loves to run and play. With a little bit of time and patience we are sure she'd grow into an amazing companion! Speckles's $250 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports! --> If you are interested in adopting Speckle please fill out our online application here: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 . A staff member will reach out if your application is approved to discuss the adoption process. The adoption will not be final until the adoption contract is discussed and signed. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions. For further information, please first fill out the application referenced above. **Due to import regulations we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.
We'll also keep you updated on Speckle's adoption status with email updates.
