Story
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Click here to apply for the pet Carl is the epitome of a big goof ball! Very playful and makes silly faces :) He can be a bit much sometimes and gets a little too rough with jumping and getting mouthy. Things we are working on in training. He does okay around other dogs in our group training class, but we have not let him come up to them or engage in play sessions. With his current foster, he's only been around teenagers and that's good for him. They help him get his energy out with games of tug of war and fetch while being big enough to handle him if he gets jumpy. This love bug hates his crate......throws a tantrum like a 2-year-old. We're also working on this in training. Loves being outside and is constantly going in and out through the doggy door to see what the neighbor dogs are up to. He likes walks but needs work on his leash skills. Who wouldn't want this guy, right??? What are you waiting for? Apply today! Click here to apply for the pet

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Click here to apply for the pet Vida is looking for a foster or adopted home. She is 4 years old, vaccinated, spayed and has passed her temperament evaluation. She has been boarding with Sled and Breakfast in Fenton, MO over the last week and has proven that she is trustworthy, communicates well and is calm and collected. Vida has been mismanaged by two previous homes. They did not consider her emotions nor did they provide any structure and control. Vida just wants to go for a quiet walk and cuddle on the couch after. If you have a quiet home with adults or older children and are looking for a low key companion, Vida is available for meet and greets almost any day by appointment. For now, we are providing her with calm interactions and training. But it’s not really training that she needs; she needs good humans who care about her and a quiet place to land. Any foster or adopter will be required to attend our FREE training lessons and she comes with lifetime FREE training support. She is not due for updated vaccines until October. She is fixed. Housebroken, crate trained, and knows her basic commands. Her DNA results show: 25% American Pittie 17% Chow Chow 11% Labrador Retriever 8% German Shepherd 7% Staffordshire Vida is currently staying at Sled & Breakfast in Fenton, MO. Story
Queen is a sweet girl looking for a patient, understanding family to call her own. She is house-trained when let outside regularly, though she may take a little time to do her business and does not let you know when she needs to go out. When her family is away, she does best resting safely in her kennel, as she may chew on household items if left unattended.Queen will thrive with a family that can help her feel secure and build her confidence. She has never lived with cats or other dogs. Since she has been with us at the shelter, she has not shown good behavior around other dogs so she will need to be the only dog in her new home. She previously lived with a 2-year-old child and was gentle, affectionate, and enjoyed cuddling. Queen loves splashing around in the kiddie pool and her personality shines when outside in the play yard. This smart girl already knows several commands, including sit, paw, and lay down. Like many dogs, she is not a fan of vet visits or nail trims. If you are looking for a loyal companion who enjoys affection and just needs a little patience and reassurance, she may be the perfect addition to your family.Queen is four years old and weighs 69 pounds. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.helpingstrays.org
