Story
Meet Violet — Your Velcro Shadow Dog Violet is sweet, gentle , goofy, and endlessly loyal 1 1/2 -year-old mutt (45 lbs of pure love!) who’s ready to be someone’s ride-or-die cuddle buddy. With a mom who’s a Lab/Beagle mix and a dad who’s a Border Collie/Lab, Violet inherited the best of all worlds: smarts, snuggles, and a whole lot of charm. She’s a certified Velcro dog—where you go, she goes. Whether it’s laying her head on your lap, curling up beside you in bed, or hopping in the car for an adventure, Violet is happiest when she’s close to her people. Her foster family says she’s a very good girl, and we couldn’t agree more.  Violet is housebroken and does great when allowed to roam freely, but crates? Not her thing. She’s looking for a home with older kids (she’s got some serious bounce!) and a securely fenced yard to keep her safe. She loves walks but needs a bit of leash training, and she’ll need someone who’s home often—this girl thrives on companionship. Heads up: Violet’s got a bit of wanderlust. She’ll bolt if a door opens, not because she’s trying to escape, but because she wants to go wherever you’re going. A storm door and extra caution are a must, and she should never be off-leash unless safely enclosed. She’s spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find her forever person. Her adoption fee is $100, and she’s currently snuggling her way through foster life in Crown Point, Indiana. If you’re looking for a best friend who’ll follow you to the ends of the earth (or at least to the kitchen) ##2374629##

Story
Leroy was found abandoned on a farm in Hebron. He's healthy now and needs a forever home. We got him to a vet and nursed him back to health. Our vet said he's between 2 and 4 years old. He weighs 55 pounds; he's a big baby who loves company. Leroy is smart, learns quickly, and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. We have seen no signs of aggression at all. He is sad if we leave him alone, probably afraid of being abandoned again. We're working with him to stop jumping up. Other than that, he has zero bad habits. He loves to play and would make a wonderful companion or family pet. Leroy is a very sweet and handsome boy.

Story
Dixie is a on the go dog. She loves ride in cars. She is pretty much likes outdoors but when it’s hot outside, she loves the inside better. She is a very vocal dog. She doesn’t bark much but she does howl to talk to you. She has two nicknames Pickens and hips because when she walks her little tissue jiggles, she’s great with my kids she wants to play with cats, but cats don’t like to play with her. She’s very curious to other animals she does sit on command and lays on command. She will give Paul when she wants to treat but she’s a very finicky dog when it comes to food she loves salmon and chicken and her best treat is peanut butter and cheese, so I’m just looking for someone who can give her the time and that I can’t give her where she can live the rest of her days out and bee happy I will miss her much but I can no longer take care of her anymore so hopefully someone can give her a loving home whereshe can get the exercise she needs and the time well spent.

Story
Rocky is sweet, but honestly, none of us want to take care of him enough and we don’t have a fenced in yard. He’s 2 1/2. We’ve had him since 4 months old. He’s healthy. The main issue is that he pulls when we walk him and our six-year-old isn’t big enough to hold him back if he sees a rabbit. He is cuddly and protective and playful.

Golden Retriever Puppies – Pre-Adoption Applications Open! Please read the entire description before applying. About the Puppies Litter " B ": 9 Golden Retriever puppies (born October 30th) – 2 females, 7 males. These puppies came to us at just one week old after their breeder realized they were not thriving in his outdoor kennels. Sadly, one puppy passed away at 4 days old due to the cold. Since then, we’ve stepped in to provide the care they need. Puppies are gaining weight and are healthy.  Adoption Requirements A fenced-in backyard is required (no invisible fences). If your condo/HOA does not allow a fence, alternative options may be considered case by case. Someone must be home more during the day to devote time to a puppy. Children in the household must be 8 years or older. Families with no dogs or one dog will be considered (no multiple-dog households). You agree to use a puppy pen, not a crate. Approved applicants will receive information on recommended pens. Applicants must live in Indiana or neighboring states. We do not transport or ship puppies. Application Process Submit your application online. If you seem like a good fit, you’ll be contacted within 72 hours. Approved applicants will gain access to our Puppy Page, where you can watch videos and follow the puppies’ growth. At 7 weeks old, you’ll select your puppy and place a $50 deposit to hold your choice. Applications are not approved on a first-come, first-served basis. We carefully review each one to find the best fit for our puppies. However, once your application is approved, you’ll be placed in line to choose your puppy—based on the order in which approvals were granted. Videos and updates will help you decide which puppy is right for you. If you attend your adoption appointment but choose not to adopt, your deposit will be refunded. Adoption Timeline Puppies will be available for adoption at 8 weeks old. Litter B (born Oct 30th): Adoption days are January 1, 2, 3, and 4. Due to high interest, we are accepting pre-applications now. Puppy Health & Policy Puppies will receive regular deworming, age-appropriate vaccinations, and will be microchipped before adoption. Puppies will not be spayed/neutered before adoption. Early spay/neutering in large breeds (especially Golden Retrievers) can increase the risk of joint and hip issues. Adopters must sign a binding spay/neuter agreement and submit a $75 deposit, refunded once proof of procedure is provided at the appropriate age. Puppies cannot be given as Christmas presents to others. The applicant must attend the adoption appointment in person, provide proof of ID, and sign an Adoption Contract stating they will not rehome the puppy. Moms are not available for adoption at this time PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL WITH QUESTIONS. Please put in your application at www.indianasaveadog.com.  ##2599693##
