Story
Rosie!     DOB: 1/2022     Weight: 40lbs    Rosie is a gorgeous black lab mix who is now available for adoption! She’s currently in foster where she gets along fine with the other dogs. Likes to pester the cats, but overall does well with them. Loves her people! She came into the kennels as a stray, but after looking at her we realized something was a bit off. Rosie is blind/very poor vision. Despite this issue, she has learned the house and now gets around just fine. Her head is either stuck to the ground or up in the air, checking stuff out. She’s very playful and loves to chew on her toys and snuggle up with her fur buddies on the couch. She’s house trained. Doesn’t care much for the crate though and would much rather sleep in bed with her humans.  Her adoption fee is $175. That covers worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a two week trial in which you can borrow items. If interested in adopting her please fill out an application on our website. pcpoundpuppies.com. Came to the shelter 1/2023. ***YOU MUST FILL OUT AN APPLICATION BEFORE WE DO ANY MEET AND GREETS. QUESTIONS? CONTACT pcpoundpuppies1@gmail.com Our standard adoption fee is $175 ($250 for puppies 6 months and under, or small dogs 20lbs or below) which covers a portion of the dog's vetting costs. The adoption process includes the completion of an application followed by an interview. Click here to submit an adoption application: https://pcpoundpuppies.webs.com/adoption-application ***If there is a dog you are interested in meeting, fill out an application and we will contact you for an interview and set up a meet and greet as soon as possible.*** You can get in touch with us by email at pcpoundpuppies1@gmail.com for more information. We respond to inquiries and adoption applications at our earliest opportunity, but please be patient with us as we work full-time jobs and perform this service as volunteers. We do our best to return messages and schedule adoption interviews within a couple of days of receiving your application. The fastest way to get the ball rolling is to complete an adoption application for the dog that caught your eye.  Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter dog!September 25, 2023, 8:39 am

Ruhn!    DOB:12/28/2021      Weight: 45lbs   A wonderful foster came to whisk Ruhn out of the kennels and look how happy he is! His foster said he’s such a good dog! Great with her dogs and cats. Loves everyone he meets and just wants them to love on him. He’s house and crate trained. He likes his treats and will happily follow you and stare until he gets one. Enjoys going for walks, playing in the yard, and taking trips to town! He rudes well in the car and does ok for bathtime, not a huge fan of the water lol. This guy is also the perfect size! Only 45lbs, and shorter. Lab/pit cross per his previous owner. He’d love to live with another dog if possible as he’s never known what it’s like to live without another. His adoption fee is $175. That covers worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a two week trial in which you can borrow items. And hey, she enjoys the water too! So if you need a buddy to take out on the lake….. Diamond likes to shoot around the yard chasing and wrestling with her doggy friends. She is both crate and house trained. Diamond is very sweet and has been well socialized with people. Has been exposed to baths and nail trims and does well with them. She’s learning how to best walks on the leash. Diamond is good with cats, dogs, and kids! She knows how to sit and stay. She’s super sweet, and people love her at events! Story
Gus!      DOB: 1/2022      Weight: 40lbs    Gus is a smaller built, but tall, solid black lab mix. He’s a clumsy, laidback, timid guy who takes time to warm up to change and new people. His foster said he needs to live with another confident/playful dog as he enjoys being with others and they give him a boost of reassurance. He loves playing fetch and is extremely fast and intelligent. He enjoys playing and running around with his sister. He does well riding in the car, and knows his basic commands. Very treat motivated. He is fully house and crate trained. Does absolutely wonderful with little kids. Such a people pleaser and always wants to be loved on. Foster thinks he’d do ok with cats after he’s used to them, he might want to play at first.  His adoption fee is $175. That covers worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. Story
Oliver!     DOB: 5/2021    Weight: 55lbs   This is Oliver. Oliver is a 2 year old, 55lbs Golden Doodle who was found wandering the streets awhile back. He’s now available for adoption to anyone willing to give him a chance and work with him. Oliver is a WONDERFUL dog with the people he’s familiar with but we’re guessing that he wasn’t socialized much in his previous home and/or possibly had some bad experiences with people. He acts like a psycho when strangers stare at him in his kennel. Will carry on barking and try to snap at them through the bars. If he knows you though, he’ll just happily bounce around the kennel waiting to go out. Outside of the kennel with a proper introduction he’s been fine with people. And once he’s comfortable he’ll run up to you, tail wagging and jump on your lap for kisses. He’d make a great exercise partner and movie night buddy. He loves to eat and run around playing with his toys. He does know how to sit. Oliver does not like cats and is picky with dogs. Ideally an only pet home with people 16+ would be best. It’s a long shot to find one of those, but we’re going to try. He’s currently staying at the PHS building. His adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a two week trial in which you can borrow items. If interested in adopting him please fill out an application on our website. poseyhumane.org. Came to the shelter 2023. ***YOU MUST FILL OUT AN APPLICATION BEFORE WE DO ANY MEET AND GREETS.
