Story
Pepper will be 2 years old in December. She is a very smart, loving girl who enjoys being outside just as much as she loves curling up for cuddles. She is kennel trained, lets you know when she needs to go outside, is spayed, and is up to date on all of her vaccinations. She is great with kids, but I think she would do best in a home with older children who can match her energy and understand her boundaries. She would thrive with someone who has the time to continue giving her the love, attention, exercise, and structure she deserves. This decision has been one of the hardest I’ve ever had to make, and I will not be rehoming her to just anyone. My priority is finding a safe, loving, forever home where she’ll be treated like family. If you or someone you know feels they could give Pepper the life she deserves, please send me a message. I’d love to answer any questions and make sure she’s the right fit

Story
9 year old female Black Lab Mix named Willow we are looking to rehome. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and she has been loved all of her life. Unfortunately, with our growing family we are having a hard time finding time for her and want her to have the best life for her remaining years. We have a 2 year old daughter and a new born boy now. She hasn't been a issue around either but she does like her space. Our 2 year has a hard time giving her the space she wants and I fear she may end up biting her. I don't believe she ever would, but she has shown signs that she is uncomfortable. Willow is microchipped and has had all vaccines up until this last year. She gets simparica trio each month and has never had any health issues other than an eye infection that was resolved when she was around 3.

Story
Looking for a loving home for the sweetest, full bred black Labrador, Ollie. Ollie is 5 and half years old and lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Due to recent health issues with my elderly mother we unfortunately have to rehome Ollie as my mom can longer care for him. Ollie is fully trained, incredibly intelligent and sweet. He loves the outdoors and exercise of any kind! He’s been pampered and well cared for since being a puppy. Wonderful and protective family dog with the ideal home not having children and lots of green running space. Ready to rehome in September

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Juliette! She is looking for a forever home where she can have time to settle in and be herself. She is quite timid and will require a secure, fenced in back yard to run in. We don't know everything about Juliette's background but she is sensitive to having her collar touched and tends to drop to the ground if you go to grab her collar. Despite being a little shy, she is a very playful dog and would do well with another canine friend to live with. She gets along with other dogs of all sizes and plays very well with her 7 pound foster sibling. Juliette had not been cat tested so we are not sure how she would do in a home with other cats. She is potty trained and kennel trained. She loves her kennel and prefers to be in there when home alone because she is pretty anxious. Juliette does have some minor resource guarding and does not like if other dogs get near her food bowl so it is best to separate her into her kennel for feeding times. Juliette's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, as well as a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Last hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and current on vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Juliette, please fill out an adoption application for consideration on our website, www.adopthope.org. Our adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and a home visit. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Introducing Greta! Greta is a Labrador/Pyrenees mix who is around 4-5 years old. Greta is a big girl weighing in around 80 pounds, but don't let her size fool you because she is the biggest love bug and enjoys pets and attention from people she trusts! Greta really enjoys playing with other large (male) dogs and we would love to place her with a confident and playful companion that she can grow and learn from! However, she does not seem to enjoy the company of smaller dogs and she can be very selective with other female dogs.  Greta also enjoys spending time and getting attention from her care takers, so be prepared to have a couch companion of your own! Greta has been cat tested and is rather timid of feline friends so a dog savvy cat or no cats would be best for her.  She would also do best in a home with no children as she can be nervous at times and their unexpected movements may scare her. Greta is still learning about the wide world around her, but she is an eager "student" and happy to learn!   If you would like to meet Greta and think she would made a great addition to your home, be sure to fill out an adoption application on our website, adopthope.org.  Greta's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, and current vaccinations and prevention. Also included is a free basic obedience training course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you are interested in meeting Greta, please fill out an adoption application for consideration.
