Story
Liberty "Libby" is a gorgeous 5 year old charcoal Lab. She is housebroken and crate-trained, but perfers to sleep with her human brothers. She is spayed, weighs 88 pounds and is current on her vaccinations. . She loves to chase balls and go for car rides. Libby is learning not to counter-surf, and jump on new visitors, but she hasn't been super successful yet! She loves all dogs and loves to go to the boarder where she can play with other dogs. She has stayed at home every day with a work from home mom, so she lounges most of the day. Liberty is a very strong girl, and lacks leash manners (even though she has been walked since 8 weeks) She does better in a fenced in yard. She is very loving and affectionate.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello, my name is Romeo! I am big boy with a big and adventurous heart! I love to go out to the park and explore the fields and (my all time favorite), play in the water! I truly believe I was born to swim...I would swim all day if I was allowed to! I love to dive under to get rocks from the bottom of the creeks, and I love playing a good ole' game of fetch, too! I will retrieve anything you throw into the water! I am looking for a home with no kids or cats, however, I do get along with other dogs and enjoy their company! I would love a family who is very outdoorsy and adventurous just like me, and who has strong dog handling experience. I am a smart boy and I can't wait to show you everything that I know! Romeo's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccinations plus a 6 week basic obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha, IA. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives.  Our adoption process includes reference and vet checks, a background check and a home visit.  Please complete an adoption application for consideration at AdoptHope.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 3:58 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Athena may be considered a senior dog, but don't tell her that - she certainly doesn't feel like a senior and she's only around 8 years old after all! This girl still enjoys playing, giving you a good workout on a leash and being an all around spitfire when the mood strikes her! She is a wonderful dog, with just a little gray in the muzzle : )   Athena has lived very easily with another dog that was around her size, but she would be great as an only pup, too.  She is unfortunately, not a match with cats as they bring out the "chase" in her!  She takes some daily prescription meds for mobility and will need to continue these long term, but a good walk every day is keeping her happy and healthy! Athena is seeking an owner that isn't gone long days, she'll enjoy your company too much to have you away after all!   Athena's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives plus a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company #2 in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check as well as a home visit.  Please submit an adoption application for consideration through our website, www.Adopthope.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 3:58 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lyme + and Anaplasma + Hello my nam e  is Herkie! I am 12 year old yellow lab weighing around 60 pounds. I really like getting pets and attention from my humans and don't forget the walks, I really love walks!  I will thrive in a home by myself since I love getting all the pets or with another dog around my size or smaller that is non dominant and no cats please.  My two other favorite things to do in my foster home are napping and eating as I am very treat motivated. Since I am a foodie I should be fed separately in the home from others to help to avoid any extra stress and anxiety for me. I am currently working on building up trust with my foster family learning that they will come back since I have a fear of abandonment from my past. I am potty trained and am a good boy with a great mixture of being chill and wanting to relax with my humans and still have energy for walks.  I am crate trained but I free roam in the house when my foster family is gone.  My foster mom says I am a handsome boy with a great smile looking for a forever home to call mine.  I might be a senior dog but I have so much love to give and I really want my own family to love for the rest of my life so skip the crazy puppy stage and come see me!   Herkie's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Herkie is seeking an indoor only home.  Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, kept current on vaccinations and preventatives and be altered.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check as well as a home visit, please submit an adoption application on our website if you would like to meet Herkie! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Charlie is the bestest boy, and someone is going to be darn lucky when they scoop him up! If you’re looking for a dog that is up for adventure, be that exploring the outdoors together or napping on the couch, he’s your man. If you’re looking for a dog that’s good with every person they meet, including kids, Charlie’s your man. If you’re looking for a dog that will bond quickly and that’s a smart pup who will pick up additional cues/commands with ease, well look no further!  This dog is a total package!  Charlie joined us in rescue and was in need of some TLC. He’d spent some time living in an outdoor kennel, and had a torn ACL in addition to Lyme disease. Charlie has gone through treatment, including surgery on his injured leg, and has come through with flying colors! He took surgery, cage rest and physical therapy like a champ and is now feeling better than ever and ready to get out and explore. Charlie is not a fan of being kenneled or left alone for long stretches, he had enough of that to last a lifetime so for this next chapter he’s looking to be someone’s full-time sidekick. Charlie is not a great match with other dogs or cats.  Charlie’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and monthly preventatives. Charlie is seeking an indoor home only, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives.
