Story
9 year old female Black Lab Mix named Willow we are looking to rehome. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and she has been loved all of her life. Unfortunately, with our growing family we are having a hard time finding time for her and want her to have the best life for her remaining years. We have a 2 year old daughter and a new born boy now. She hasn't been a issue around either but she does like her space. Our 2 year has a hard time giving her the space she wants and I fear she may end up biting her. I don't believe she ever would, but she has shown signs that she is uncomfortable. Willow is microchipped and has had all vaccines up until this last year. She gets simparica trio each month and has never had any health issues other than an eye infection that was resolved when she was around 3.

Story
Looking for a loving home for the sweetest, full bred black Labrador, Ollie. Ollie is 5 and half years old and lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Due to recent health issues with my elderly mother we unfortunately have to rehome Ollie as my mom can longer care for him. Ollie is fully trained, incredibly intelligent and sweet. He loves the outdoors and exercise of any kind! He’s been pampered and well cared for since being a puppy. Wonderful and protective family dog with the ideal home not having children and lots of green running space. Ready to rehome in September

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Juliette! She is looking for a forever home where she can have time to settle in and be herself. She is quite timid and will require a secure, fenced in back yard to run in. We don't know everything about Juliette's background but she is sensitive to having her collar touched and tends to drop to the ground if you go to grab her collar. Despite being a little shy, she is a very playful dog and would do well with another canine friend to live with. She gets along with other dogs of all sizes and plays very well with her 7 pound foster sibling. Juliette had not been cat tested so we are not sure how she would do in a home with other cats. She is potty trained and kennel trained. She loves her kennel and prefers to be in there when home alone because she is pretty anxious. Juliette does have some minor resource guarding and does not like if other dogs get near her food bowl so it is best to separate her into her kennel for feeding times. Juliette's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, as well as a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Last hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and current on vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Juliette, please fill out an adoption application for consideration on our website, www.adopthope.org. Our adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and a home visit. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Introducing Greta! Greta is a Labrador/Pyrenees mix who is around 4-5 years old. Greta is a big girl weighing in around 80 pounds, but don't let her size fool you because she is the biggest love bug and enjoys pets and attention from people she trusts! Greta really enjoys playing with other large (male) dogs and we would love to place her with a confident and playful companion that she can grow and learn from! However, she does not seem to enjoy the company of smaller dogs and she can be very selective with other female dogs.  Greta also enjoys spending time and getting attention from her care takers, so be prepared to have a couch companion of your own! Greta has been cat tested and is rather timid of feline friends so a dog savvy cat or no cats would be best for her.  She would also do best in a home with no children as she can be nervous at times and their unexpected movements may scare her. Greta is still learning about the wide world around her, but she is an eager "student" and happy to learn!   If you would like to meet Greta and think she would made a great addition to your home, be sure to fill out an adoption application on our website, adopthope.org.  Greta's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, and current vaccinations and prevention. Also included is a free basic obedience training course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you are interested in meeting Greta, please fill out an adoption application for consideration. The adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and home ownership check.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Toby, a friendly guy who loves meeting people and is always excited to see what adventure is next! He does great on group walks with the other rescue pups and overall just enjoys getting out and about. Toby is looking for a secure, stable home with an experienced dog owner. He will need a dedicated yard or outdoor space where he can safely get his energy out and enjoy plenty of time exploring. Toby is very food motivated, so much so that he makes checking the trash can part of his daily routine! He's also a big fan of toys, loves to play, and has an absolute blast playing in the kiddie pools. Whether he's splashing around, playing with his favorite toy, or heading out for a walk, Toby is happiest when he's having fun with his people.  Here at the adoption center, Toby can be reactive when he's on leash or behind a barrier, so his new family should be prepared to continue working with him using patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. He has shown that he enjoys walks and outing and will thrive with someone willing to help him continue building those skills. Toby does have a strong instinct to chase small animals when he is out and about, therefore he looking for a home without any cats or other small animals.  Toby's adoption fee is $250 and includes his microchip, neutered, current vaccinations and preventatives, plus a free basic obedience class at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. Toby is seeking an indoor only home. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered and current on vaccinations and preventative care. Our adoption process includes a background check, home visit, and vet history check. Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Good with kids, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Athena is a young senior, around 9-10 years old.  She is a very even-keel dog, past her puppy years and enjoying her golden years.  She enjoys a good stroll around the neighborhood once a day, she doesn't pull hard on her leash but she rather enjoys walking at the very end of her leash so as to lead the way! She loves to patrol the yard and will do her best to keep the area squirrel free! Athena isn't much for toys, she instead is a foodie and loves to eat! But she's no fool, when you try to give her her daily meds she will quickly eat around the pill and just take the tasty stuff if you aren't careful!  Athena does seem to bond more to women, in her foster home she will follow mom around the house and then steal foster dads spot in the bed at night. Athena has happily accepted pets from grandkids and neighbors while on a walk, so could easily live with older kids. Athena has lived with another very easy going dog that was around her size, but we have a feeling she would be happiest as an only dog. She isn't a match for any younger, or higher energy dogs as she wouldn't appreciate the interruptions to her couch-potato ways and she can get pretty grouchy when dogs get in her space. She is unfortunately, not a match with cats as they bring out the "chase" in her!  She takes some daily prescription meds for mobility and will need to continue these long term, but a good walk every day is keeping her happy and healthy! Athena is seeking an owner that isn't gone long days, she'll enjoy your company too much to have you away after all! Athena's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives plus a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company #2 in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives.
