Harriet has a sleek short black coat, adorable perky ears, and eyes that are constantly taking in the world around her. Exploring is her favorite hobby, and she approaches life nose-first—she loves to sniff all people, places, and things to make sure she knows exactly what’s going on. She can be a little shy when meeting new people at first. You might notice her wiggly butt and happy tail wagging while she takes a moment to build confidence, but once she gets a sniff and decides you’re a friend, she’s all in and sweet as can be. Harriet is affectionate, gentle, and eager to connect. This girl adores other dogs of all sizes and will happily jump into playtime with anyone willing. While she enjoys chewing on toys, wrestling with her dog friends is her absolute favorite activity. True to her Lab roots, Harriet is energetic, playful, and always ready for fun. She also has a bit of a velcro-dog side and loves following her people from room to room, just to be close. Harriet is still a puppy, so potty training, crate training, and manners are works in progress, but she’s learning and will thrive with consistency and patience. She does wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids, making her a great fit for many different types of homes. Petey is a 2-year-old male Lab mix with a whole lot of personality packed into his small stature. He may be compact, but he’s impossible to miss—thanks to the charming spot over one eye and his absolutely adorable uneven ears. Out of his puppyhood but still holding onto the best puppy traits, Petey’s love for toys is alive and well. You’ll often find him proudly trotting around with a toy in his mouth or joyfully shaking it side to side like he’s won a prize. Tug-of-war is the game in Petey’s book, and he’s always ready for a playful challenge. He does great with other dogs and can truly hang with the big dogs—literally and figuratively. Petey has a more dominant play style, so he thrives best with dog friends who complement that energy and enjoy a good, balanced play session. When playtime winds down, Petey shifts seamlessly into cuddle mode. He loves being near his people—lounging at their feet, hopping into laps, or politely (or not-so-politely) demanding pets. He’s incredibly affectionate, generous with kisses, and strikes that perfect balance between energetic and chill. Petey is fully potty-trained and crate-trained, does well with other dogs and kids, and with some guidance and clear boundaries, we think he could learn to coexist peacefully with cats too. True to her name, Corncob is a 1.5-year-old female Lab mix with a sunny yellow coat and an extra-corny personality to match. She’s an energetic, people-loving girl whose greatest dream is simply to have people of her very own to shower with affection—and she promises to give all that love right back. Corncob is fully convinced she’s a lap dog and has absolutely no concept of personal space—in the most adorable, affectionate way possible. If you’re sitting down, she assumes she’s been invited right into your lap for cuddles. She’s also a total toy fiend and can often be found happily gnawing on a bone or tossing her stuffed toys around all by herself. Corncob loves staying busy and would be thrilled to join her future family on adventures big and small. She does well with kids and is both potty-trained and crate-trained. Corncob has a solid handle on her basic manners, though she’s still working on keeping all four paws on the ground when she gets excited to greet new friends (she just can’t help herself!). She can be a bit wary around other dogs, and though we think she could learn to coexist with another dog, she'd do best as the only dog in the home. She’s a little too interested in cats, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Corncob would thrive in a home looking for a happy, affectionate companion—one who will greet them every day with a big smile, enthusiastic butt wiggles, and a heart full of love.
