Cole is a 2-year-old black Lab mix who’s the perfect example of everything we love about Labs — goofy, loving, and full of life (with a little patch of white on his chin to prove he’s one of a kind). Cole has no idea how big he is, and he’s convinced he’s a lapdog. If you sit down, be ready for him to try and climb right into your lap — or flop across it with all his lovable, oversized enthusiasm. He’s a big ol’ ham who thrives on attention and affection, and he’ll make sure you never feel unloved for a single second. This smart, food-motivated boy is eager to please and has his basic training down. He’s both potty-trained and crate-trained, though he’d much rather be hanging out with his people. True to his Lab roots, Cole has plenty of energy to burn and loves to play, zoom, and explore — whether it’s in the backyard or around the house. Cole gets along well with other dogs, though he can have a bit of a dominant streak. He’s currently a little too curious about cats, so a feline-free home would be best. If you’re looking for a loyal, lovable, slightly oversized “lapdog” to shower with treats and attention, Cole is your guy. He’ll pay you back with endless love, laughter, and plenty of snuggles.

At 4½ months old and a mighty 14 pounds, Willa has officially mastered the art of being adorable while still keeping you on your toes. She’s the perfect mix of playful zooms, snuggle sessions, and puppy mischief — all wrapped up in a compact, easy-to-carry package. Willa’s mom was a Lab mix, but judging by her size and sass, we’re pretty sure her dad was a smaller mystery man with big energy (possibly the neighborhood Chihuahua, but we don’t gossip). She’ll grow to be a medium-sized dog, just the right size for couch cuddles and backyard adventures. This little lady loves to explore, play with toys, and hang out with her humans. She’s smart, affectionate, and loves being part of the action. Willa is still a puppy, so she’ll need patience, consistency, and lots of love as she continues learning. Willa will need a physically fenced yard to safely stretch her legs and show off her zoomies.If you’re looking for a fun-sized best friend who brings both laughter and love, Willa’s your girl. Willa is house trained, kennel trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Meet Princess, a 4-month-old, 15-pound bundle of sweetness who’s ready to be adored! Princess loves toys, chew bones, and gentle playtime, but her absolute favorite thing is snuggling. When it’s time for a nap, she’s happiest curled up next to a person or another dog. She’s affectionate, gentle, and always excited to make new friends, human or canine. Princess and her littermates were removed from their home by the Delaware County Sheriff in a neglect case when they were just a month old. Despite her rough beginning, Princess has been thriving ever since and has grown into a confident, loving puppy. As for her breed mix, Princess is a certified supermutt. Our best guess is a blend of Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, Rottweiler, and Pit Bull—meaning she’s smart, loyal, and likely to be a medium to large adult. Princess will need a physically fenced yard where she can safely explore, play, and burn off puppy energy. Puppy Patty had a short stay in a home, but through no fault of her own, she came back to us just four days later. Her adopter has a motion-sickness condition, and simply watching a busy puppy move around made her dizzy. Patty was loved and well cared for—but now she’s back with us and searching for her true forever family. Born on September 6th, Patty comes from an intelligent and affectionate mix. Her mom is a Labrador/Border Collie, and her dad is a Yellow Lab/Shepherd, so she’s expected to grow into a large, beautiful adult with plenty of brains and heart. Patty’s favorite thing in the world is cuddling with her people. She’s sweet, affectionate, and always ready to hand out kisses. She does great with other dogs and is doing well with crate training and house training. For her safety and happiness, Patty requires a physically fenced yard where she can run, play, and explore as she grows. I love to dive under to get rocks from the bottom of the creeks, and I love playing a good ole' game of fetch, too! I will retrieve anything you throw into the water! I am looking for a home with no kids or cats, however, I do get along with other dogs and enjoy their company! I would love a family who is very outdoorsy and adventurous just like me, and who has strong dog handling experience. I am a smart boy and I can't wait to show you everything that I know! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Charlie is the bestest boy, and someone is going to be darn lucky when they scoop him up! If you’re looking for a dog that is up for adventure, be that exploring the outdoors together or napping on the couch, he’s your man. If you’re looking for a dog that’s good with every person they meet, including kids, Charlie’s your man. If you’re looking for a dog that will bond quickly and that’s a smart pup who will pick up additional cues/commands with ease, well look no further!  This dog is a total package!  Charlie joined us in rescue and was in need of some TLC. He’d spent some time living in an outdoor kennel, and had a torn ACL in addition to Lyme disease. Charlie has gone through treatment, including surgery on his injured leg, and has come through with flying colors! He took surgery, cage rest and physical therapy like a champ and is now feeling better than ever and ready to get out and explore. Charlie is not a fan of being kenneled or left alone for long stretches, he had enough of that to last a lifetime so for this next chapter he’s looking to be someone’s full-time sidekick. Charlie is not a great match with other dogs or cats.  Charlie’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and monthly preventatives. Charlie is seeking an indoor home only, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org.
