Story
Simba is a 6-year-old male yellow Lab mix who came to us through no fault of his own—and now he’s ready to find the forever family he’s been dreaming of. Don’t let his age fool you… Simba has the heart (and enthusiasm!) of a puppy. First and foremost, Simba absolutely LOVES people. He soaks up attention like no other and is happiest when he’s included in anything and everything his people are doing. When he’s with his humans, he wears a literal smile on his face. He adores affection, loves being pet, and will happily give sweet kisses in return. Simba gets so excited to see people that he can sometimes jump to say hello—but he’s working on his manners and making great progress. When playtime rolls around, you’ll often find him running around with toys in his mouth, and when things calm down, he’s content to sit and chew on a toy nearby. He does well with other dogs and is currently learning how to play with them. Simba is also great with cats and is excellent with kids. Truly, this guy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body—all he wants is someone to love and belong to. Simba is fully crate-trained and potty-trained, making him an easy addition to a home. He would thrive in just about any household looking for a happy-go-lucky, quintessential Lab who will bring endless love, joy, and life into their family. If you’re searching for a loyal best friend with a big heart and an even bigger smile, Simba just might be your perfect match.

Story
Delilah is a 2-year-old, 59-pound very good girl with a big heart, long legs, and enough personality to fill the room. Her DNA is probably made up of 20 different kinds of dog, resulting in a one-of-a-kind mix that’s as fun as it is lovable. Delilah’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. She spent two days running loose as a stray in freezing temperatures before being brought to the Bethany Pound. Despite that rough start, she greets life with enthusiasm and a wagging tail, ready to make up for lost time. She is an energetic young dog who loves to play, especially with toys and other dogs her size. Delilah thrives on movement and would be happiest with a family that enjoys an active lifestyle and playtime as much as she does. Because she loves to run and stretch her legs, a physically fenced yard is required so she can play safely and burn off energy. Delilah is ready to trade cold nights and uncertainty for a warm home, steady routine, and people who will love her as much as she loves life. If you’re looking for a playful, loyal companion with a whole lot of joy to give, Delilah might be your perfect match. Delilah is house and kennel trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm tested. If you’d like to meet Delilah, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Delilah you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300

Story
Pip is a 4-year old Chocolate Lab and Border Collie mix. I am needing to rehome him due to divorce and no longer being able to give him the life he deserves. Pip was born in Germany in July 2021. He is a good boy and gets along with other dogs and has lived with cats. He goes to the Morgan Creek off leash area often and loves meeting other dogs. He is up to date on all his shots. Pip does have separation anxiety and would do best with a family that has someone who works from home. He would probably love to live on a farm. Please let me know if you have any question or would like to meet him.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Charlie is the bestest boy, and someone is going to be darn lucky when they scoop him up! If you’re looking for a dog that is up for adventure, be that exploring the outdoors together or napping on the couch, he’s your man. If you’re looking for a dog that’s good with every person they meet, including kids, Charlie’s your man. If you’re looking for a dog that will bond quickly and that’s a smart pup who will pick up additional cues/commands with ease, well look no further!  This dog is a total package!  Charlie joined us in rescue and was in need of some TLC. He’d spent some time living in an outdoor kennel, and had a torn ACL in addition to Lyme disease. Charlie has gone through treatment, including surgery on his injured leg, and has come through with flying colors! He took surgery, cage rest and physical therapy like a champ and is now feeling better than ever and ready to get out and explore. Charlie is not a fan of being kenneled or left alone for long stretches, he had enough of that to last a lifetime so for this next chapter he’s looking to be someone’s full-time sidekick. Charlie is not a great match with other dogs or cats.  Charlie’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and monthly preventatives. Charlie is seeking an indoor home only, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 19, 2024, 7:58 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Juliette! She is looking for a forever home where she can have time to settle in and be herself. She is quite timid and will require a secure, fenced in back yard to run in. We don't know everything about Juliette's background but she is sensitive to having her collar touched and tends to drop to the ground if you go to grab her collar. Despite being a little shy, she is a very playful dog and would do well with another canine friend to live with. She gets along with other dogs of all sizes and plays very well with her 7 pound foster sibling. Juliette had not been cat tested so we are not sure how she would do in a home with other cats. She is potty trained and kennel trained. She loves her kennel and prefers to be in there when home alone because she is pretty anxious. Juliette does have some minor resource guarding and does not like if other dogs get near her food bowl so it is best to separate her into her kennel for feeding times. Juliette's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, as well as a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Last hope requires that all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and current on vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Juliette, please fill out an adoption application for consideration on our website, www.adopthope.org. Our adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and a home visit. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 15, 2024, 1:18 pm
