He’s good with kids and cats, and he can get along with other dogs who respect his space, especially when it comes to his bones. Niko appreciates having room to enjoy his special treats safely, so a family who understands his boundaries will help him feel comfortable and successful. Niko enjoys playing but tends to tire out quickly, making him a great companion for shorter play sessions followed by some rest and relaxation. He’s also friendly for car rides and knows some basic commands! Niko is still working on his housetraining. His previous owner reported that he does tend to have accidents in the house, but having access to a dog door helped tremendously in the past! A home with a dog door may be beneficial for him, along with a patient family willing to continue working on his housetraining. Niko also has a sensitivity to grains, so a grain-free diet is best to help keep him feeling his best. Bella is a super fun and fantastic dog. She makes a great pet. She is very social with lots of other dogs and we haven't had issues with her and other dogs. She is great at pest control on and around the farm but does not tolerate cats. She's good with cats all day but at night cannot be trusted unsupervised around them. I also would not trust her around free range chickens. Though we have several free range chickens she has never gone after we have found dead pheasants in our yard so Im certain she has the impulse to hunt. With proper training she would make a great hunting dog as she loves to stir up wildlife on our country walks. She has a lot of energy and needs a home that can ensure she has time to run that energy out. Her look makes a lot of people scared of her but shes very sweet and loves extra pets/pats and belly rubs.
