Story
Luna is almost 2 years old. She is a beautiful young lady and loves attention. She especially loves to run and the company of other dogs. I am a disabled veteran and 77 years old. I just can't give her the exercise and attention that she deserves. She is the most loving lab I have ever had but may my health prohibit me from taking her for walks like I should. She loves kids and I'm hoping I can find a good home with a large amount of land so she can run exercise and play fetch for children would be perfect. She loves people and other dogs company. She eats Hills dry food and she will give you and your family all the love back you share with her.

Story
Sadie is a sweet and loving dog who enjoys attention, especially if it means playing fetch. She is somewhat timid but warms up to people quickly. Sadie is almost 3 years old and fully grown so she’ll never get as big as a Lab but will be bigger than a beagle given her genetic makeup. Like the other dogs we’ve owned Sadie is an outside dog due to my husband’s allergies but she’s crate trained and stays in the garage at night or in the laundry room in cold/hot weather. We got her as a puppy from a friend who owns her mother so she was part of a litter or 4-5 puppies. We weren’t expecting the high energy level that Sadie has given that our previous dogs were golden retrievers. Although she has a fully fenced in yard to run & play in she needs a larger space where she can get more exercise . My husband and I are senior citizens and aren’t able to match her active nature to our more sedentary lifestyle. Being able to live in a more rural area (such as a farm)with space to exercise is needed

Story
Puppy came in to the clinic after he was hit by a car that left him with a broken leg at only 9 weeks old! The good news is that we expect the injury to heal with about 6 weeks of cage rest and spoiling! He is doing great since arriving is such a sweetheart and we think he maybe a Lab / boxer mix. He has been treated for his fleas, dewormed and vaccinate for age. We require him to be neutered once old enough and offer a 20% discount if you bring him back for us to neuter. His adoption fee is $75

Story
UPDATE!! Meet Maggie Jane! This sweet girl was found in the middle of Hwy 43 dodging traffic. She’s an adorable doodle mix of some sort. She’s around 12 weeks and 12 lbs. She’s spunky and sweet. Loves all kids and animals. Has been started on house and leash training and doing well for her age. Maggie Jane is utd, dewormed and spayed.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!
