Story
We found him on our doorstep as a puppy and took him in. When we found him he was about 12 weeks old. He is currently 1 1/2 years. He is a smart, good watch dog and has passed both an obedience class and (canine good citizen test). He is housebroken and leash trained. He is good in public and loves other dogs and cats. He needs a knew home because our very big and growing family makes him anxious. He does great with a regular sized family, and would be good with elderly or single people as well. He loves frisbee, playing fetch, is trained to stay on his bed during meals and not beg. He is calm around the house and He is low shedding. He is a VERY good boy loving playful loyal friendly and obedient.

Story
Sadie is a 25 lb, 5 months all american pup! She is full of energy, super sweet, eager to please, and loves to play.  She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys going on long walks.  Once she is worn out she snuggles up next you on the couch for cuddles and love!  Her new family with have lots of toys - Nylabones and soft squeaker toys seem to be her favorite in her foster home.  She is crate trained, napping quietly when her foster mom works from home and sleeps through the night.  She is mostly potty trained but will sometimes still have an accident if she is just playing too much and forgets to go to the door.   She plays well with large and small dogs in her foster home.  She has been socialized with children (she loves them!).  She has not had exposure to cats.   Like all puppies she would benefit from ongoing training. Sadie‘s adoption fee is $200 which includes three rounds of shots, spay, microchip, and one month of heartworm preventative. Story
I was a lonely, feral puppy, in a southern Missouri pound. Trapped in February, I got out of the cold, thanks to the nice ladies at the animal control. Now, I'm in rescue in St. Louis. I've done so well! I'm handsome, calm, dog and cat friendly, gentle, super smart and social. I weigh about 30lbs at 6 months, and will probably be 35-40 lb when I'm big. I'll continue to be shy to new people, until I get to know you. I'm housebroken, leash trained, crate trained and sit on command. I just love new toys and share with my foster brother! I don't chew them up, but I do leave them everywhere in the house! Some might say I'm a typical puppy. I've been vaccinated and wormed and will be neutered soon. If you're interested in meeting me, please reach out. And bring treats, I work for food! Checker's adoption fee is $250.00 which includes 3 rounds of shots, neuter, microchip and 1 month of heartworm preventative. If you are interested, please complete the Adoption Application on our website at a4apetpantry.org Disclaimer: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of our dogs, we are only guessing at breed mix.  May 7, 2025, 7:26 pm

Story
Moose is a lovable, pear-shaped boy who recently lost his home through no fault of his own. This sweetheart is everything you’d hope for in a Lab—playful, food-motivated, and full of love to give. Moose enjoys toys of all kinds, loves treats (he is a Lab, after all), and gets along well with other dogs and even cats. His previous owner shared that while Moose may bark occasionally, he’s great with everyone he meets. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and knows a few basic cues—making him a well-mannered addition to just about any home. Moose is ready to be someone’s best friend—maybe yours? If interested, please fill out the preliminary at odas.org/canine before you visit.

Story
Hello, my name is Maverick. I am a very sweet guy who really likes to play. I am unusual looking (to say the least) but that just makes me more special. I do know a command or two, and will do just about anything for a treat, so teaching me new things should be a piece of cake. I would be so much fun but I really, really need someone who will teach me the ropes regarding housebroken. Please go to odas.org/canine and fill out the preliminary.
