You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Bender the defender! Call him Benny! This sweet boy desires a family so badly. He wants to be with you and be close. He wants to take walks and cuddle, play a little and cuddle more. Bender came from animal control due to being abandoned in an apartment. His one and only person fell ill, was taken from the apartment and Bender was left there. Alone. Abandoned. Two weeks was the estimated time. He came to us very overweight, needing some confidence and love with the recent trauma of being left.  He lives with some cats that keep away from him. His buddy is a one year old German shepherd. Bender is a calm canine companion looking for love.  He is willing to learn and listens well once settled. All he wants is his person to be there for and with him. Bender would very much appreciate some one on one time with someone that will love him forever. He truly is a best friend. If you can be the person we want to talk to you!! Bender wants to meet you. our have to pinky paw swear to love him as big as the sky. hhpr.rescuegroups.org for the required adoption applicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 24, 2024, 11:19 am

Story
Hello, my name is Maverick. I am a very sweet guy who really likes to play. I am unusual looking (to say the least) but that just makes me more special. I do know a command or two, and will do just about anything for a treat, so teaching me new things should be a piece of cake. I would be so much fun but I really, really need someone who will teach me the ropes regarding housebroken. Please go to odas.org/canine and fill out the preliminary.

Story
Sundance is a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix who came to us in 2020 from an Arkansas shelter where he was surrendered with his two brothers because of a family illness. Sundance is one of our six sanctuary dogs. He has been with us for such a long time now that we feel he would not do well transitioning to a new home. So we will continue to love and care for Sundance in rescue. We appreciate donations towards his food/treats, monthly preventatives, and routine vet care. In his foster home Sundance is gentle, affectionate, and playful. Sundance likes to be petted, walks well on a leash, and is house trained. He does need to be fed separately as he will resource guard his food from other dogs. Sundance is friendly with the other dogs in his foster home and his brother Phoenix is his closest companion. He enjoys a rural setting as his original owner lived on a farm. His foster dad doesn't have cats, however Sundance doesn't pay attention to them when he's at the vet. Sundance has double dew claws, is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Our Adoption Requirements: A secure and visible fence. In order for your application to be approved, you must also pass a home check and a vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history. Our adoptable dogs can be adopted in Missouri and surrounding states: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Arkansas. We are able to transport to those states.
We'll also keep you updated on Phoenix's adoption status with email updates.

So we will continue to love and care for Phoenix in rescue. We appreciate donations towards his food/treats, monthly preventatives, and routine vet care. My name is Phoenix. I have been with my foster dad for three years. I love him so much that I can't imagine moving to another home at my age. I am affectionate and playful. I greet my foster dad by jumping onto my dog house, putting my paws on his shoulders, and giving him a hug! I like water, playing with other dogs, and my favorite toy is a stuffed sloth. I am house trained and walk well on a leash. For a senior boy, I still really like my walks and require them. I enjoy my rural setting as I've lived my whole life on a farm with other dogs. My foster dad doesn't have cats, but I don't pay attention to them when I'm at the vet. I am neutered, up to date on vaccinations, up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. Our Adoption Requirements: Applicants must have a secure and visible fence.
