Story
Why does Luke look so sad? Luke's early puppy life was in a hoarding situation. Growing up, it was primarily just him and his owner. However, the dynamics shifted when another dog joined the household. Unfortunately, the two didn't get along, leading to the scars you now see on Luke. He's gradually acclimating to the shelter environment, and we're hopeful that soon we'll his happy, playful side. Luke is trained for both the house and crate, though he doesn’t require crating when left by himself.  Luke would thrive best in a loving home with adults where he is the sole pet. He's a shelter favorite, come and meet him! If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an  Adoption Application which is found on the website at caninerescue.org.  *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far as processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again if you see another dog that interests you.   If you have a question, please email your question to adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day. We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopter must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in. *PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide as if they are incorrect, we will be unable to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone so advise your references that there may be an unknown number or a private number calling them.

Story
Loganberry is an about 4 year old black lab mix. She is spayed and totally up to date on all of her shots. She is a very sweet girl with a lot of energy. She has to be crated when she is alone as she is a very anxious babe. She would do well in a family with a big yard or multiple walks each day to get some energy out. She loves to play with her toys and snuggle! Loganberry can be okay with cats and other dogs; she likes to bark at cats but has never been aggressive. Loganberry came to us with heartworm which is now completely cleared! She is the sweetest girl who really loves to be loved on! She also loves to run outside--so someone with some land or a love of the dog park would be ideal for our Berry girl. Loganberry also has a brother, Pierogi, who is also up for adoption on this site. They have both brought SO much joy into our lives and we are heartbroken to have to say goodbye. We often travel, work late and don't have enough space to make them as happy as they deserve to be.

Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Dynamic Duo Dudes!!!  Meet DOC & MARTY, 2 mixed breed puppies about 4-5 months old and weighing 20 pounds.  I know they have some lab in them and will probably reach at least 40 pounds as adults. These 2 brothers were found wondering a construction site in San Antonio, TX.  The smaller boy MARTY has some brown on his face and he is the more submissive one.  Very gentle and kind-hearted.  He loves to play and he sleeps right at my feet no matter where I am; in the recliner, on the couch or in bed.  He likes to cozy up.  He follows his brother around to a certain extent but they are NOT bonded, they can be adopted separately. DOC is the other brother that is just a tad bit taller than MARTY.  He is more outgoing and very social but a sweet puppy who is just a typical puppy who plays, eats, sleeps and plays some more.  He can be found in the middle of the other foster puppies playing and running zoomies in the backyard. Both boys are doing really well on their potty training.  I am home most of the day and have time to let them out very often, but they are getting the hang of it. If you are interested in adopting either of these boys please submit an application on the website below.  More pictures are available once you email me.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         April 23, 2024, 6:45 pm
