Story
This is Lou, the six (ish) month old Black Labrador/Shepherd mix. He has had a rough start to his short life here on Earth. He was dumped on the side of a busy highway, along with a littermate a few months ago. The littermate was later hit and killed by a car, and he had been in the same spot since. We have been trying to catch him for three months now and he was finally caught on 4 February 2024. He is a very sweet boy and we have been calling him "Lou" and "Mr. Bubs". He has surprised me so much in the short time I have had him. Lou has not had any accidents in the house, loves cuddles and scritches, and is so gentle with treats. Lou loves kids and loves female dogs. He would do excellent as the only dog, or a buddy to a female dog. If I didn't already have four dogs myself, I would keep him in a heartbeat. He really deserves a loving and warm home, he has definitely earned it. Please reach out if you are interested in adopting Lou. I will transport him anywhere.

Story
Traya is from a tiny village in Northwest Alaska. Some teenagers found her as a loose puppy during a snowstorm, and brought her to my house. I tried to find the owners, but had to luck, and she just became a part of the family. She had three doggie sisters, all older than she was. She is high energy, but also knows how to relax and cuddle. She is now seven years old. Unfortunately, while living with me up in Alaska, she bit a small dog. The bite was pretty bad, and the little dog needed stitches. The dog catcher in the village was going to shoot Traya, but I made the compromise that to save her life, I would send her to North Carolina to live with my cousin. She was been in NC since November. Unfortunately, my cousin's schedule has gotten substantially busier, and Traya is spending most of her time in a crate, or at a boarding facility. I cannot bring her back to my village, because she will be shot. She needs a loving home, preferably one with a yard, because she will run all day!

Story
Meet Minnie! She is almost 4 years young and is looking for her furever home. She is a lab/hound mix. She is UTD on all vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. She finds herself looking for a new home only because she has been growling at her present families disabled child. They have done everything you can think to help her. She had been through extensive dog training and is the perfect dog! But for the safety of them both they have decided to rehome her. She does wonderful with the older children in the home. She knows all commands and is house trained. Minnie is a couch potato and loves being next to her humans. She loves being petted! She does have an autoimmune disease which only requires her to be out of the sun for extended periods of time. We also think this is the cause for her premature greying. But we think it adds to her charm. So if you are looking for the perfect addition to your family this is Minnie! Please message us for any questions you might have and for an adoption application.

Story
Ripley is 6 years old, born on June 5, 2017. We got him from a Labrador retriever breeder from in-state and he has been with us ever since. He has joined us on our trip to Alaska and loves the outdoors. He is high energy and is a true Labrador retriever in the sense that he loves people and loves food. He is great with kids, and I'm sure with cats too. Never has shown any aggression, but will definitely try to go for someone else's food bowl. He is crate-trained, lives indoors, knows all the basic commands like sit, shake, and down. Most importantly, he has so much love to give. He was never formally trained, and struggles to walk on a leash but that is due to his high energy that we fail to get out. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to care for him due to things happening in our lives. Our wish is for him to go to a home that can care for him in the way we can not anymore. Our family is devoted to finding the best new family for him. He deserves to continue living his best life.

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Junie needs more attention than we can give her. She struggles with separation anxiety and needs somebody to be with her on a more consistent basis than we can give her. We have another dog she gets along with and does well with other dogs. She does and will stand by the door to use the bathroom when she needs to. When we leave for something and the separation anxiety kicks in, she will go in the house. Very protective dog and caring. My wife just got a job and she needs more attention then we can give her right now. We are looking to get her in a good home and ask nothing for her.
