Story
This is Lou, the six (ish) month old Black Labrador/Shepherd mix. He has had a rough start to his short life here on Earth. He was dumped on the side of a busy highway, along with a littermate a few months ago. The littermate was later hit and killed by a car, and he had been in the same spot since. We have been trying to catch him for three months now and he was finally caught on 4 February 2024. He is a very sweet boy and we have been calling him "Lou" and "Mr. Bubs". He has surprised me so much in the short time I have had him. Lou has not had any accidents in the house, loves cuddles and scritches, and is so gentle with treats. Lou loves kids and loves female dogs. He would do excellent as the only dog, or a buddy to a female dog. If I didn't already have four dogs myself, I would keep him in a heartbeat. He really deserves a loving and warm home, he has definitely earned it. Please reach out if you are interested in adopting Lou. I will transport him anywhere.

Story
Spinner is a lab weimaraner mix that is 1 year old and 70 pounds. We rescued Spinner on his last day, and he has blossomed! This now 70 pound young lab / Weimaraner mix loves to play, is goofy and sociable. He is crate and housetrained.  He knows several commands such as sit, shake and lay down.  He is good w/ all dogs provided he gets a slow and proper introduction.  He seems to be impartial to cats.  Spinner is very stubborn so he will need a strong pack leader in his new home.  He is good with kids, but with his clumsy goofball self, he would likely knock over small children, so we suggest kids 10 year old and up.  He sheds very little so you won't have to vacuum every day!  Spinner is a lover and enjoys sitting on the couch and cuddling with his people!  He is on slow kill Heartworm treatment since his levels were so low. No change in activity, he can romp as much as he wants! He is such a happy good natured boy! If you are interested in Spinner, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!  April 25, 2024, 5:47 pm
