Story
Brick, aka Bricky boy, is a 7-year-old gentleman who has truly mastered the art of living the good life. He’s a shorter, stocky Lab weighing in around 110 lbs (currently on a health journey that includes lots of walks and a reasonable diet so he can look good for summer—he’s very brave about it). Brick has diabetes insipidus, requiring him to take a daily pill. This is absolutely not a problem for Brick, as long as said pill is hidden under a piece of food…or better yet, wrapped lovingly in turkey or tucked inside a pill pocket. He has standards. As long as he gets his pill, his symptoms are managed and are of no concern🙂 This sweet old man is delightfully low-key. Most of his day is spent sleeping, lounging, looking out the window, or slowly wandering between his two favorite dog beds like a retired king inspecting his castle. Brick is not a fan of kennels and made that very clear upon arrival, but since he’s fully potty trained, house trained, and not destructive, he now enjoys free rein of the upstairs—and he’s been thriving ever since. Brick is a world-class snuggler. He will happily lay on top of you if permitted, and while he sleeps through the night on his dog bed, he’s more than willing to share a human bed if you help him up. Couch privileges are not a concern—whether due to laziness or being pleasantly rotund, Brick cannot get up there on his own. While he is definitely a laid-back guy, Brick does enjoy his walks. He plays “follow the leader” and walks directly behind you, never pulling on the leash. He’s gentle enough that a kid could walk him with ease. One of Brick’s most charming quirks? When he gets excited or receives pets, he does a little hop with his front legs And gives you a big smile—an unexpectedly adorable move for a dog his size. Brick isn’t particularly interested in toys or bones, but he is interested in people, other dogs, and kids. He’s easygoing, friendly, and wonderfully low-maintenance—just a sweet, mellow companion looking for a cozy home and a soft place to nap. If you’re searching for a calm, affectionate dog with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Brick might just be your perfect match. 🧡

Story
Hi there, I'm Pebbles! 🐾 I'm a young lady who's had a bit of a bumpy road before getting here, but I'm learning every day that the world isn't such a scary place after all. My foster family knows that although I am a little quiet and a little shy, I have a whole lot of love tucked away. I'm a curious girl, even if I'm still a bit timid. I might take a second to approach you, but I'm watching and learning how to trust. I've realized that living the "good life" inside a warm home is actually pretty great. I am especially more confident when around my foster-dog sibling. I'm looking for a patient soul who understands that good things take time. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles—just a cozy spot on your sofa, some soft tasty snacks (cheese, please!), and a gentle hand to tell me I'm a good girl. If you're looking for a quiet, sweet companion to grow with, I think we might be a perfect fit.

Hat Trick is protective but not aggressive. He just wants to make sure his humans are safe. Scared of going to the bathroom alone? Have no fear, he will guard the door while you are at your most vulnerable. Hat Trick is fully potty trained but may have a slight regression in a new home while he adjusts. He gets around very well on three legs. Stairs don't scare him. He dominates them.
