Story
Raven is a very sweet Lab mix that loves to cuddle and spend time with family. However, a previous owner abused her and left her with scars. As a result she has extreme separation anxiety. Causing her to become destructive only moments after being left alone. Due to the abuse if you approach her to quickly, particularly after some destruction, she will pee herself. She was also trained with a shock collar before us, making her nervous when putting a collar or harness on her. Once on she loves car rides and walks. I have tried to train her out of the fear, piddling and separation anxiety, but she is beyond my capability. She would benefit from being crate trained, but I am unwilling to do this. She is a sweet, wonderful dog that has some hangups from previous owners and needs someone who is a better trainer and can give her the time she needs to fully become the wonderful dog she is. I hate posting this, but she is just beyond me and my family's capabilities.

Story
HI - I'M JOHNNY, a 10-year-old pit/lab mix waiting for a foster or forever home. I'm super cute with my red & white coloring and my speckled ears! My ideal adopter is a single person who wants a companion, a pal for hanging out, walks, hikes, watching TV, car rides, napping. I love to play fetch, and I listen to basic commands. I tend to bond to one person who will be my soulmate, so couples may not be the best for me because I don't want to share the person I bond with and love. I love scratches and affection! I get bored if left alone too long, so best not to leave me out in the backyard for hours. I'm still quite agile and have been known to jump over a fence in my younger days. I'm not all that trustworthy around other dogs, especially male dogs, so it's best if I'm the only dog in the home. I'm still in good health and I'm basically looking for my forever companion to go for walks or hikes or simply watch TV and snuggle. I weigh about 70 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email me for an application

Story
HI - I'M ROOTIE, and my story is a sad one. I was originally saved from a shelter many years ago, and just this past summer, I was rescued from a homeless encampment in Southern California. So now I'm safe, but I'm still a bit shy/timid in my new surroundings. I really need a home with a soft bed and a person or people to love me and be patient, while I get adjusted to being loved. I may take just a little bit to come out of my shell, as I'm nervous in new situations, but I deserve a wonderful home for once in my life. I'm 8 years old now, but in good health. I weigh about 60 lbs. Can you please foster or adopt me? I'm currently still in California but can be transported to Portland. Please email for a foster or adoption application.

Story
MEET COLE! Cole is a handsome 3-year-old Lab-Husky mix in need of a new home! Cole and his brothers and sister were rescued as infants when their mom (a husky-shepherd mix) found herself at a California shelter, nursing her pups. All were adopted, and Cole is in a foster home in the Greater Seattle area. Cole is very outgoing, and he's great with other dogs. He will do well in a quiet home with an active person or people who have patience, and can take him for walks, hikes and other outings. He weighs about 74 lbs. Cole can be transported to Oregon if necessary. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M SWEET HOLLY! I'm a 5-year-old white Lab-Pit mix girl in need of a foster or forever home. I have a lot of love to give. I've been waiting for more than two years for a home but nobody has chosen me. I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter awhile back, and while there I was kenneled with another female dog. I have done well with other dogs since then. I'm loving and gentle with people, and would love a home of my own. I love belly rubs, walks on the beach, and snuggles! I weigh about 55 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an adoption or foster application. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to Oregon.
