Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. NUTMEG and her siblings were saved from a kill shelter in Louisiana and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 10 October 2023. NUTMEG is spayed, core vaccines, monthly preventatives and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of August 2022 and at the time of transport weighed around 5.6 pounds. She will need her rabies vaccine when she reaches the appropriate age. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue    YouTube channel    and    photo albums on our Facebook page    to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. NUTMEG is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for an adoption fee of $550. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
Ibiza like 60 pounds and an overweight senior and she walks with a lot of difficulty. She is about 9 years old. Unfortunately, it’s not easy for large breed dogs to find a home in Mexico so amazing dogs like this spend most of their lives in shelters being overlooked when they are the most wonderful pets and family members! Needs something for her articulations and to lose more weight. She is one of the sweetest dogs and gets along very well with other dogs and cats and loves giving kisses to people! Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!

Story
LOVELY LAB / BERNESE MIX AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! After having been unloved and neglected, our beautiful girl Layla is ready to start life over. At just 2 years old, this 80-pound beauty has oodles of potential, and will make an awesome addition to the right family! After several days in foster care with some basic training, here’s what Layla’s foster mom has to say: “She is doing amazing, what a GEM. We have reduced the “play nibbling” to almost nothing. The jumping has stopped also. She is not a barker, so easy in the backyard with our neighbours. We are starting to work with her on walking properly. She is eager to please, very submissive, so makes it easy to train. Very food driven, but understands boundaries when eating, and not food protective with her own food and toys. She is a big dog but not that active. After a few minutes of fetching balls, she needs a break. She is only 2 so has lots of potential. Just a lovely dog.” Layla prefers the company of adults and older children, and a house with a yard in a quiet neighbourhood would suit her nicely. She would be fine as an only pet, but could possibly live with a calm, well-mannered mature dog; cats not recommended. Please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.kikodogrescue.ca if you’re interested in offering Layla a loving home. We are active in the Greater Montreal and Eastern Ontario areas, and are also open to applicants from elsewhere willing to drive to the Montreal area.

Story
Welcome Donna to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 11-month-old Black Lab mixed with Whippet is our best guess. She has some moderate sized feet. We think she will be 45 pounds full grown. She is playful and fun. She gets along well in a house with a cat. She would be best with an outdoor and active family. She is energetic and likes to play. She gets along well in play groups with other dogs off leash. She is also affectionate and would be fine with children. She is a gentle dog with a very sweet personality. We like children to be 8 or older. She would be best with someone that doesn’t work 8 hours every day so you can finish up her training. She will go potty outside on a good schedule and she likes playing in the baby pool here at the rescue. She has a nice soft coat and not a huge shedding pup. She has a very shiny coat and a curly tail. She should be a moderate shedding adult. She loves other dogs and came in with another dog named Apple. She would do best with a fenced yard so she can play in the yard for some of her exercise needs. She is a lovely puppy and is stunningly cute. She will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. She will fit in easily to an active family looking for a companion to join you in outdoor activities. She can be adopted in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!! https://youtu.be/pAOU9kvdRiY ***************************** Bienvenue à Donna chez CCPAL Rescue.
