Story
Meet Delilah 🐾 Delilah is a beautiful 1 year, 8 month old Lab/Border Collie mix with a heart as big as her sweet, soulful eyes. She came to us through no fault of her own—her dog dad loved her very much but, due to losing his home and starting a new job, was no longer able to give Delilah the care she deserves. It’s clear she was well loved, and it shows in her wonderful manners and affectionate nature. Delilah is a gentle, loving girl who adores going for walks and spending time with her people. She is great with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a fantastic fit for many different types of families. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people or settling into a new environment, so she would do best with a family willing to give her some time, patience, and reassurance as she adjusts. She is currently on a healthy weight diet as she’s carrying a little extra fluff, but she’s well on her way and will thrive with regular exercise and a balanced routine. Delilah’s adoption fee is $300, which includes: - Spay - Started on her vaccination schedule - Microchip If you think Delilah could be the perfect addition to your family, head to www.mjhs.ca , click Adopt – Adoptable Animals, and scroll to her sweet face to submit your application. Story
Hi there! My name is Bowen, and I’m a 3-year-old guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. I’m great with kids and get along well with other dogs, so I’d be happy to join a family with two- or four-legged friends. I’m not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home would be the best fit for me. I also need to stick to a chicken-free diet, which helps me feel my best and keeps my tail wagging. I’m a sweet, loyal companion who’s ready to settle into a loving home and be your new best friend. Could that be with you? 🐾💙

Story
Toffee is a beautiful chocolate Labrador with charming patches of white and a heart full of love. She adores people and thrives on attention, making her a loyal and affectionate companion. Toffee isn’t yet fully housetrained, but she’s eager to learn and highly food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. She’s selective about her doggy friends—she’s not a huge fan of other dogs, though this may be related to food and could improve with careful introductions. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving Labrador who will shower you with affection and respond well to training and positive reinforcement, Toffee could be the perfect addition to your home. 🐾🍫

Story
Tabby is a beautiful black Lab puppy who came to us with Demodex mange. This condition is not contagious, and with proper care she’s on the road to feeling her best. Through it all, Tabby has remained incredibly affectionate and people-focused. She loves attention and enjoys being around others, though she can be vocal when she sees other dogs and puppies. Tabby hasn’t had the chance for direct dog-to-dog introductions yet, so her interactions are still being figured out. With time, guidance, and positive socialization, she’ll continue to grow in confidence and manners. Tabby would do well in a patient home ready to help a young puppy learn, heal, and thrive. If you’re looking for a loving companion with lots of potential, Tabby is ready to meet you. 🐾🖤

Story
Sassy is a young adult female Labrador mix with a story that tugs at the heart — and a personality that quickly steals it. She was found abandoned outside our shelter in a crate, with two bags of her belongings left beside her. Understandably scared and overwhelmed, Sassy greeted the world with growls at first, unsure who she could trust. It didn’t take long for her true self to shine through. Within just one day, Sassy began to blossom into a cautious but goofy, incredibly loving girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She has zero concept of personal space and would happily crawl into your skin if she could. Affection is her love language, and once she trusts you, she gives her whole heart. Sassy can get overstimulated or frustrated at times, and when that happens, she’s not shy about expressing herself — including the occasional dramatic paw “slap” to let you know she’s had enough. Because of this, she would do best with adopters who understand canine body language and can help her navigate big feelings with calm guidance and structure. Sassy is looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to feel safe, secure, and truly wanted. With consistency, understanding, and plenty of affection, this goofy, loyal girl will make an incredible companion — one who loves hard and lives even harder.
