Story
This is Finley. He is a high energy dog while he has been at the shelter. He loves to run and play with balls and cotton toys. He loves to be rubbed on and petted Finley came in with a microchip and had owner information but after multiple attempts in trying to find the owner he has been put up for adoption.Long walks or fenced in back yard is always the best environment for dogs, but exercise is the main goal. We can test our dogs with other dogs at the shelter, but not every dog may get along with your dog this is why if you do have a pet at home we strongly suggest meet and greets before adopting. When adopting an animal at the shelter please know the responsibility of an animal. Most of the animals at the shelter have come in as a stray which mean they may not know how to sit or stay. They also might not have manners such as not to jump. Adopting takes patience. Please research the dog breed you are interested in and remember it takes time. Refer to the sheltering 3/3/3 rule of adopting for help.

Story
Meet Mack, an adult dog brimming with energy, friendliness, and a dash of goofiness. Mack's tale is as magical as they come. One sunny day, while chasing a shimmering butterfly, he stumbled upon a hidden portal in the park. The portal led him to our shelter, where he quickly became a favorite, charming everyone with his sweet nature and playful antics. He loves joining in with the playgroup, his tail wagging non-stop. Mack's story is still being written and he needs a loving family to help pen the rest. His boundless love and enthusiasm promise to fill any home with laughter and joy.Long walks or fenced in back yard is always the best environment for dogs, but exercise is the main goal. Story
Carson is a very sweet and loving six year old dog. The humane center said he is an English Coonhound Mix, but he seems like more of a Labrador to me. He LOVES snuggles and being pet. He is calm in demeanor and very sweet. He is protective of his food and snacks and doesn't like to be pet while eating (I don't like to be pet while I'm eating either, LOL) But I feel he can be trained to be less protective, I just have no time. He unfortunately is in a kennel from 5:45 am to sometimes 7:00p He does have dry skin, and needs to use a special shampoo. He also takes allergy medicine when skin flares. I am a single mom, and my son is 13 and now involved in many after school sports and activities. I feel sad that Carson is left alone all day. We also do not have a yard for him to be able to enjoy. I pray that there is a loving family that will welcome Carson into their home and lives ;as you will not regret it. We love him very much, but we want him to have a better quality of life.

Bear is a good boy, but our landlord is persistent in removing us because of the dog. I am financially unable to relocate and I must do something quickly. Bear is so affectionate and never makes a sound. He only needs one good walk a day and then he could hangout all day. Please help, thank you.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.      Crate trained. Doing well with potty training, just the occasional accident if you're not paying attention. Probably wouldn't put her in a home with small kids only because she's a BIG puppy and is teething and working on her jumping. Loves other dogs. Having another younger dog would be great for her. Does ok with cats, she just wants them to play with her as well. She knows sit. Working on teaching her to lay down. Story
My family did not spay or neuter their dogs and they let them run loose...so, my momma got pregnant. Mommy and daddy are both lab/pit mixes. I like to play and sometimes I'm a rambunctious puppy. I'd do well in a family with older children and people that will take me to puppy school to learn my puppy manners. I've received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. My neuter surgery, at one of Kind Keeper's veterinary partners, is scheduled when I'm older. Adopters must be 23 years old.
