Story
Goose #25205; male; lab mix; estimated age 3 years; approximate weight 55lbs. Goose was abandoned when his owner moved off and left him to fend for himself. He is quite the handsome fella. Goose is currently undergoing slow-kill heartworm treatment. He is neutered and up to date on all vetting. Goose can be selective about other dogs. A home where he can either be an only dog and give ALL his love or a home where slow introductions are possible will be a best fit for Goose.

Story
Buck #24057, male, Labrador mix. Buck arrived at the shelter as a puppy estimated to be about 5 months in February 2024. He suffers from “black dog syndrome” and is the last of his litter to find his home. He now weighs approximately 55lbs. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. He has been on heartworm prevention since his intake. He is thought to be a healthy boy. Growing up in a loud overcrowded shelter is not optimal for a pup’s development. With the love and patience of shelter volunteers he has learned trust and welcomes pets and love. Buck plays with other dogs, and with proper introduction should be okay with other dogs. He is handled by men and women and has been around children. He has not been handled by small children (under 8years). This boy just needs a chance to shine. We do not have cats, so we have no way to evaluate his behavior with them.

Story
Ladie #23113; female; mixed breed estimated to be 4 years old. She weighs approximately 55lbs. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and has successfully beat heartworms and is NEGATIVE! This poor girl has spent two years in the shelter. It is way past her turn. Ladie is very food motivated and easily trained with a pocket of treats and some consistency. She has shelter playmates and with proper introduction should be fine in a multi-dog home. She can be a bit shy at first, but warms up very quickly. We do not have cats at our shelter and therefore cannot evaluate the dog’s reaction.

Story
Echo# 23435; male; lab mix; estimated age 3 years; approximate weight 65 lbs. You would not believe that this guy came into the shelter a little over two years ago AND was about 20 lbs. lighter! He was far too thin and had been on his own for a while. Fast forward and now he needs to lose a few! He is the best boy! His coat is full and shiny; he is neutered (seems to contribute to his girth); he is up to date on his vaccines; heartworm NEGATIVE; and ready to go! He has also had a thyroid panel run due to weight gain and his values were within the normal range. He just needs his own family to play, walk, and not spend 22 hours a day in a kennel. Echo is an “office dog” now. That’s a position we only honor the best of the best with and he is rocking it! He does bark and alert us when someone arrives – just like he is supposed to do. He goes out with the other office pups: a female about his size, and a younger male.
