Story
  My name is Brady, and I came into this world around December 1st — just in time to face one of the worst snow and ice storms in Nashville history. My mom, my three siblings, and I were found huddled together in a cold barn, trying our very best to stay warm. Thankfully, kind hearts found us, and now our story is one of hope instead of hardship.   Our beautiful mama is an 80-pound Lab mix, but everyone says our dad must have been a Heeler — which means I likely won’t grow quite as big as Mom. At 8–9 weeks old, I weigh about 11 pounds, and they think I’ll grow into a handsome 60-pound gentleman one day.   My foster mom says I’m a special kind of puppy. I have a calm, even-keeled temperament and an old-soul quality about me. While my siblings tumble and wrestle, I’m often content to sit back, observe, and entertain myself. I don’t mind being independent — in fact, I think I’d be perfectly happy as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention.   I’m smart, thoughtful, and eager to learn. I promise I’ll train easily and catch on quickly — I just need someone willing to show me the way.   If my quiet confidence and handsome looks have captured your heart, please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. We adopted this sweet girl from a shelter, but unfortunately have to move and cannot take her with us. She is super sweet and playful, and loves to sit on your lap. She loves her toy alligator and her peanut butter treats! She needs space to run around outside, but unfortunately we don’t have the means for that. She would be best somewhere fenced in where she is able to roam freely. This would also make it much easier to potty train her. We have begun the house training process and she has made progress. Unfortunately, since we are moving we don’t have much time to continue her training. We don’t have very much on her backstory, as she was transferred from a different shelter. All we know is that she has not had the best experiences in life, and that she is very timid until she gets to know you. When she opens up, you’ll have a new best friend who will be at your side!

Polly Waffles and her siblings were part of an "accidental litter" that the owners needed to rehome. We took them in because HOW CUTE ARE THEY? Their mom is 26 pounds and is the spitting image of them (short legged and brown merle) and we did not see dad. They are all low riders so we expect some Dachshund or Basset? Polly and her siblings didn't get much one on one time as puppies and were mostly kept outdoors so they are a little shy of humans at first. They would thrive in quieter homes with older children and respectful dogs. They are currently in foster with other dogs and cats and are doing well. Due to their young age and having been mostly outdoors, they are still learning house training and will need an adopter to continue their training. Polly is being fostered in Knoxville, TN and her adoption fee is $300. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
