Story
Bunny is a hard pup to decide on breed. We are not at all sure what she is. We are guessing Border Collie/Lab mix? She has a little head and skinny legs. She is very cute and fast. She's approximately 3 months old, and 20 pounds. We're not sure if she will be much bigger than a medium size. She is learning to be crate/potty trained. She still has a few accidents in her kennel. She loves to play and can be little rough with puppies smaller than her. She can be a total love bug once she gets her energy out. We think she's not a good choice for young children, because she does not know personal space. She was picked up as a stray and needs a new start in life. Bedford Humane Society has gotten her up to date medically, including her spay. Bunny has been dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, is too young to test for heartworms but has started on heartworm preventatives and on flea/tick preventative. Bunny's microchip will be registered in her new owner's name by BHS. For more information, please visit our website at www.bhsva.org to fill out an adoption application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Originally surrendered to an Animal Contol Officer in rural South Carolina. Ribeye was living in an Extreme Neglect environment.  We are not focusing on Ribeye's past life. It his new chapter that warrants telling. Here is what living with him has revealed: RIBEYE'S FAVORITE THINGS:  *Belly Rubs, Butt Scratches *CHILDREN * KITTY CATS *Suppertime Being Nosy, Peeping at people showering  *The Great Outdoors *Singing, (his and mine)  The Couch, The Big Bed His Crate. What we are working on: *Basic commands ; sit, wait, leave it, watch me *leash walking  * acclimating to car rides *gently accepting treats *shake paw "Ribs" is roughly 7-10yrs , housebroken, not guard dog material lol , adores kids, likes kitties, very quiet, well mannered. Ribs, enjoys his crate and often reclines in it at his leisure.  At this point, I could easily remove the crate as he settles eaily and is not destructive when left alone. We are scheduling of a full veterinary work up ie; vaccines, Heartworm test, physical exam. He has a yeast skin, ears going on, hower with weekly medicated baths, ear cleaning and more importantly proper nutrition,  his skin and ears are remarkably improved. Ribs would be a wonderful family dog. But an only dog. He displays dominate tendencies.  My easy going guy, as the resident dog is currently experiencing some bullying from Ribeye  we suspect this is temporary, given his recent history and food insecurity—So we are being mindful of placement   This dog's adoption fee is $100.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. June 14, 2026, 1:24 pm

Story
Travis is the definition of laid-back charm with just enough chaos mixed in to keep everyone entertained. He’s loyal to his people, obsessed with snacks, and convinced that personal space is optional when cuddles are involved. Whether he’s acting like the king of the backyard, staring dramatically out the window, or getting sudden bursts of zoomies for no reason at all, Travis somehow makes every day funnier. Sweet, goofy, and always ready for attention, he’s the kind of dog that turns ordinary moments into the best part of the day.
