Kodiak is a 56 lb, two year old sweetheart currently thriving in foster care, where his wonderful personality truly shines. His foster family describes him as an easy, affectionate companion who is dog friendly, kid friendly, house trained, and non destructive. He settles beautifully into home life and is happiest when he can relax near his people. Kodiak is a rear leg amputee who arrived at the shelter this way, but you would never guess it slows him down. He gets around extremely well, climbs stairs with ease, and can even jump onto the couch for cuddles, which is easily his favorite place to be. He is confident, comfortable, and full of love. He is gentle and respectful with other dogs, including puppies and small dogs. Because protecting his remaining back leg is very important, Kodiak needs canine companions with a calmer, polite play style. Rough or overly physical play is not a good fit for him, but he makes a wonderful friend and companion for well matched dogs. Kodiak originally came in as a slightly underweight stray, but he is gaining weight nicely in foster care and looking healthier every day. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and ready for a forever home. He is possibly a Lab and Pointer mix, combining a gentle temperament with a loyal, affectionate nature. Kodiak is searching for a home where he can enjoy comfort, companionship, and plenty of couch time with his family. This mom was brought in with her babies as strays. She is a sweet girl who does well with other pups and people. She has plenty of energy to go wherever her family goes. She might be house trained but does use a dog door. She has been on a leash and has done okay. She will be learning more of that and some commands. She is a great girl although a bit rough around the edges. She will be terrific for any family and is ready to head out! She is located in Tennessee but can be transported through Rescue Riders.

Miss-Fit was surrendered with her mother and siblings. The family did not want the puppies and were planning to take to the local kill shelter at 3 days old. Mom was allowed to come also and was to be returned. The family moved and would not return our calls. Mom and pups are now vetted and ready for their forever homes. She got her name as she was the runt and could walk through the openings and wander around the home. She is precious and needs a family to train her as she grows. She is fostered in E. TN, but transport and health certificate for out of state transport provided by Rescue Riders LLC is included in the adoption fee. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This boy is the last of his litter and is ready to go!! He is a typical lab puppy: happy, friendly, and just a joy! He will need all basic puppy training but labs are pretty smart and catch on quick. He does know how to use a dog door but has never been around cats. He is ready to hang out with his forever family.
