Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Amber is Looking For:  Hi! I'm Amber. I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. Name: Gator        Best Guess for Breed:  Lab mix  Best Guess for Age:  7 months as of June 2026        SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:   42 lbs as of 6/22/26; he still has more weight to gain!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Gator is Looking For: His forever family! He came into the shelter terribly underweight but happy and confident on leash! He is oh so ready for his new chapter - he's got all that awesome young dog energy and wants to play and explore and then snuggle after a fun day together.
