Story
**Fenced Yard Required**Kyon is the dad of 3 of our other rescues - Helios, Hebe and Argos. They were all running in a neighborhood and no one claimed them, so we rescued all of them. Kyon is a very sweet and handsome boy. However, we have learned that he is not a big fan of cats. Kyon is a dominant dog but he is so calm, just a chill dog. He is with an active, crazy male dog in his yard right now who learned quickly his boundaries and they get along great. He has good manners, doesn't jump. He will need a good, secure fence however so he doesn't escape the backyard and go on adventures. Kyon is ready for a new home and a loving family! He has never been in a home however he is such a laid back dog we believe he would have a very easy transition to couch potato.Kyon's date of birth is 5/14/2018 and he weighs about 60 pounds. All of our rescues are rehabilitated and once healthy are available for an adoption fee of $95 for cats and dogs. ***FENCED IN YARD REQUIRED***Lotte is a fun, sweet girl! She has been in a short term foster home so we know she is great with other dogs and with children. She is the biggest snuggler and love bug EVER! Her foster mom describes her as "so gentle, loving, and sweet." She prefers to be around people and would love to stay by your side. Lotte apparently has springs in her legs because she can climb and jump over short fences. Therefore, she needs to go to a home with a six foot privacy fence or some kind that she can't climb!Check out this adorable video of her!https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02Wsh58PisyJwcQmRjafixRdv9kdtv3H7cUMYdGjYyMA9TwVrRep4x7UEWApH7LAj3l&id=11400026&mibextid=Nif5ozLotte's date of birth is 1/9/2023 and she weighs about 35 lbs.All of our rescues are rehabilitated and once healthy are available for an adoption fee of $95 for cats and dogs. Story
**FENCED YARD REQUIRED**Meet Styx, our big-hearted tripod boy with an even bigger smile.Styx first came to FCAR after being rescued with a serious leg injury. Despite everything he went through, his tail never stopped wagging. The injured leg was amputated, but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit—he runs, plays, and lives life to the fullest on three legs.Styx was adopted and dearly loved for the last three years, but sadly, his owner’s health complications meant he had to be returned to us. This wasn’t Styx’s fault, and he’s ready once again to find his forever family. Here’s what we can tell you about him:*People-lover – Styx has never met a stranger. He’s happiest when he’s getting attention and snuggles.*Great with kids – His foster once called him “awesome with kids” and said he loved joining in on their fun without being overwhelmed.*House-trained & polite – He’s well-mannered in the home, doesn’t beg, and knows how to settle in.**Styx does okay with some cats and dogs but strongly prefers being the center of attention. He also guards his food, so his adopter will need to be sure he is fed separately and a meet and greet with other pets will be required to ensure compatibility.*One-story home needed – Because of his amputation, he can’t climb a full flight of stairs.Styx is the perfect blend of goofy playmate and loyal couch buddy. He’s been through so much, but his sweet spirit has never changed.Styx's date of birth is 5/14/2019 and he weighs about 91 pounds. All of our rescues are rehabilitated and once healthy are available for an adoption fee of $95 for cats and dogs. This fee includes:• Extensive medical health check by a licensed veterinarian• Up to date on all vaccinations. Story
Mimi, Sally and Magic are all siblings that were found and an abandoned house in the summer. They are considered bonded but can be separated however, if someone wanted to adopt two of them, I would suggest Mimi and Sally as they are the most bonded. Mimi is very curious and prefers the indoors more than the other two. She’s pretty calm and well behaved in the house, although they are all young dogs and like to get into things occasionally like tearing up dog blankets and towels if they can get their paws on them. They are all very highly motivated and can get pretty excited around mealtime. When they have been to pet's bar, people have commented how calm and well behaved they are however they can get pretty rowdy outside running and playing in the field, very sweet natured with good temperament. I would say they are for the most part house trained. There has been only one accident in the house from the three of them in three months, but they spend a lot of time outdoors. An adapter would need to know that they were definitely may need some close supervision in the house at first. These dogs are being fostered in the south but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
