Story
ZENA IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED! Zena is a 6 year old lab mix. She was found chained up outside with her 9 newborn puppies at Sardis Lake. The puppies were scattered around during a heavy rainstorm, and she could not reach them. She was severely underweight and heartworm positive when she entered the rescue. She is now 50lbs and heartworm negative! She has come a long way. Zena is house trained, crate trained, and knows how to use a doggy door. She is very loving and craves attention from her people, so she would be fine as an only dog. She does get along well with her furry siblings in the foster home, but she does take time to warm up, so we recommend slow introductions. She is a very active dog and loves to play outside with her foster siblings. She has come such a long way and would love nothing more than a furever home. She has been known to jump a fence, so a tall 6ft wooden fence is recommended to keep her from taking an occasional stroll after a squirrley friend.    Zena has had all of her shots, as well as rabies vaccination, is spayed, and microchipped. Zena is ready to meet and bond with her furever family. Zena's adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to VA.   We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Zena up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com .  You can apply to adopt her here:   http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! MAX IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE HE IS ADOPTED!  Max is a 2-year-old black lab mix with lots of energy and love to give. He loves to meet people and play with other dogs. He shows his love by sitting between your legs and looking up at you with his big puppy dog eyes. He is normally 65 lbs, but just gained some weight being confined during heartworm treatment, so he’s now 80 lbs. It won’t take him long to lose that weight, since he likes to play fetch and swim to fetch sticks. He is ok with brave cats but will chase scaredy cats. He learns fast and knows the commands sit, stay, lay down, heel, out, potty, down, get a toy, and is always willing to learn more for a treat. He is potty, leash, and crate trained and loves to play with other active dogs at the dog park. He would do well with an active family, but since he still thinks he’s a puppy, he needs more training before playing with small children.  His adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to VA.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Max up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com . **Mabel is in her foster home located in Memphis TN and will be transported once the adoption is finalized** Mabel will easily become your best friend. She is a gorgeous 9-month-old lab mix fur baby. She has those long lanky legs, and she’s both crate and house trained. She also knows “sit” and is working on “stay”. She’s an amazing car rider! Definitely a dog you can take places with you. She is good with other dogs with a slow introduction. Once she knows the dog, they become fast friends. She loves playing with the fur pups in her foster home. She’s friendly with people, including kids. Mable is treat motivated, so continuing her training should be easy. She’s very loving and eager to please her human. She is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. Mabel's adoption fee of $550 includes transport to VA with a licensed and registered USDA transport company. Story
WINNIE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!   Hi! My name is Winnie!   I would love to meet you in person—that’s kind of my thing. But the internet is life these days, so I’ll give it a shot!   I think life is an adventure, and I am excited about everything! My sister and my foster think I have too much energy, but I’m pretty sure that’s impossible. I love to walk, but I’d rather run. And I will play until the sun goes down, and then snuggle until we can play again.   I have been fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. I weigh around 50 pounds.   All I need is a forever home, and some love. And maybe some play time. Lots and lots of play time.   Winnie, along with her sister, were found in rural Mississippi on August 10, 2022. At the time of her rescue, the vet estimated her to be about 6 months old. We picked February 25th to celebrate as her birthday, and she and her sister had a fun time celebrating their first.   When we found Winnie, she had a broken leg. Her veterinarian says it has mended nicely, and seems to have left her without any ill effects. She also has a partially blue eye—we aren’t sure if it is congenital, or caused by the same injury that broke her leg.   Winnie tries very hard to be good. As far as housebreaking goes, she is mostly there, and very well crate trained. She is also trained to sit, shake, and stay, though excitement tends to overcome her determination to listen.    You can apply to adopt Winnie at www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   Her adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to VA.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Winnie up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Winnie here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2024, 10:27 pm

Story
Midnight is a playful and energetic six-month-old boy ready to find his furever home! He is mixed breed pup with a black coat and a small amount of white on his chest. Midnight just recently went to a foster home where he is working on house training and learning new things. He is crate trained and has had no accidents in his crate while in his foster home. He enjoys walks with his foster sister to explore new sights and sounds. Midnight loves to play with lots of toys. He enjoys running and tossing them but does not destroy them. Once he has tired himself from all the play, he will cuddle up next to you on the couch. Midnight is looking for a furever home with a fenced in yard, lots of love, and a family that can continue his training. He gets along with other dogs, but would probably do best either as an only dog or in a home with another young dog to play with. He can be a little overpowering for an older dog. Midnight is fully vaccinated, neutered and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $500 and includes his transportation to his new home in VA.  HE IS IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO HIS NEW HOME ONCE ADOPTED!  New Beginnings Animal Rescue uses  a licensed and registered USDA transport company.     You can apply to adopt here:   http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net/adoption-application22.html   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Meet Kimber. He was taken in with his brother and buddy Ruger. He is a 3 1/2-4 yr old, 70-75 lb sweetheart lab mix. Kimber is just a big love bug. Tends to be lower energy. He’s a bit on the shy/timid side compared to his brother. He enjoys plenty of affection, chasing and talking to birds, sunbathing, chewing bones, playing with doggy siblings, taking walks, or lounging on the couch. Kimber would enjoy a nice yard or land with doggy friends, plenty of affection, and maybe a couch or comfy bed to call it a day on. In his foster home he has become accustomed to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Kimber is vetted, neutered, microchipped, house trained, kennel trained, walks on a leash, and knows basic commands. Kimber would make a great loving companion. If you would like to meet this sweet guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ . Story
Right up front… We received a sponsorship donation to help with Andys adoption fee, so it’s been reduced to $400. Andy is a lovable dog who will never leave your side. He likes long walks and loves to sniff anything and everything along the way! Loves to give kisses. Becomes overwhelmed Easily if his boundaries or territories are crossed. House broken, crate trained, needs a fenced in yard. Definitely more suited for a one-dog owner. Cats are ok, and maybe adult kids, he is curious about other dogs ( I can talk you through that) but he can become easily triggered, through car glass, fencing, and protective over his family. He’s very Protective over his home and his people. Needs time to warm up to new people and he likes to feel like he is in charge, being an Alpha which needs to controlled and put in his place, but once he is comfortable, he will be your best friend and trusted companion for life. Very low-maintenance otherwise, although he’s a very hairy guy, brushing is a must. Can be left alone for long periods of time - does not chew or get into anything he's not supposed to. Likes to be right next to you on the couch and the bed. Well-trained - knows place, down, stay, sit, and working on heel. Loves peanut butter as a treat. We transport every other week to a location near you with the most animal friendly transport - Rescue Riders Transport.
